I have a gp1300r, my buddy has a Sea-Doo RX. Last year I rode a 02 1200r and woud pull him on top end after I caught him out of the hole. He re-jetted his machine and put some aftermarket flame arrestors on . Will I still beat him on top end or maybe even stay with him out of the whole on my stock 1300?? I am going to install a Solas 13/19 impeller. How will this affect me against him. My buddy has been talking smack all off season,this weekend we will finally race. What do y'all expect will happen??

That is a hard call to make. My stock 2002 GPR topped out at 63.0 mph and my friends stock XPL tops out at 61.5 mph. The Sea-Doo 951 benefits greatly from aftermarket arrestors and a re-jet, because Sea-Doo down jetted the engine and added a more restrictive air intake after water ingestion problems. I don't think the 1300R will be any faster than the 1200R on top end.

My GP1200R Gps'd at 65.8 with 6 hrs on the motor. Only thing done to it was 13/19 prop, PPK and intake grate.

I think the 1300 with PPK and 14/20 prop will KILL your friends ski.
