I am attending the Lake Cumberland PWC Jam (www.allpwcs.com) this May and as a Yamaha rider and fan, it is a little depressing to see all the Sea-Doo related (and even Polaris) sponsors but no hard-core Yamaha related sponsors participating. You are doing a great job with the Florida series but how about sponsoring/supporting some activities farther north such as the PWC Jam.

If you have something already in the works, then I'll be patient, otherwise how about helping out if you can.

I'm just down the road from you in Fort Wayne.

When are you heading down to the Jam and where are you staying? We are heading down Thurs. and are staying at Jamestown.

By the way, do you have you ski back together yet? I have been following your rebuild thread off and on.

mjammer,
Unfortunately, it's a little easier said than done. We were approached by the representatives of the Lake Cumberland PWC Jam and asked to participate. However, we made numerous commitments prior to their contacting us. We'd love to attend every event and support everyone, but it isn't realistic.

I understand your position and appreciate the consideration. I am sure you get requests from almost every event around due to your stature in the industry. Even if you can't support the event directly with an exhibit or demo's, I am sure the organizers would appreciate even some small donation as this is a totally volunteer event that is raising money primarily for the AWA. The participants would be appreciative of even something as small as a supply of your catalogs to hand out and a donation of some marketing material (i.e. stickers, t-shirts, hats, etc.) for door prizes for the participants. Regardless, keep the event in mind for next year as this will continue to be an annual event.

Thanks for your support of this sport, your great products and this board.

mjammer........I'm heading down either Weds night or Thurs morning (early). I have a room at the Jamestown resort and a boat slip reserved.

I grew up in Fort Wayne. Small world. I lived in Tamarack Addition over by IPFW until 1990. Now I live on Chapman Lake in Warsaw, IN. My Dad has a lake cottage on Lake James in Angola that we sometimes hang out at also. I just got my brothers GPR in the 70 Zone .....so when we both get together...it's a hoot.

The engine to my ski will be shipped back to me this week. Looks like I will have all of April to break her in and tune. I'm sure I will have a true 73-74 mph GPR ......but we're going to try some things out to get into the 75+ range.....we'll see how it works out.

We'll have to track each other down when we get to Cumberland.

Where is Chapman Lake in relation to Warsaw? I have been to Lake Wawasee a few times but don't ever remember hearing about Chapman Lake. I normally go down to Salamonie Res. with occasional trips to Crooked Lake, Lake James, and some of the other smaller lakes. I went to Lake James last 4th of July and thought I was going to get run over by all the boats. People who complain about PWCs should go to Lake James on a busy weekend and see how nuts the boat drivers are, don't you think?

Good luck on your ski. Maybe I'll see you on an area lake sometime.

mj.....Chapman Lake is about 5 miles NE of Warsaw. It is not a very big lake (700 acres) but the fishing is GREAT!! It is a PWC tuners dream. Usually little to no traffic until about 9am on the weekends and glass water on a regular basis. My neighbor is a Polaris Dealer and throws his Polaris Crap at me on a daily basis......he finally threw in the towel last year and bought a jet boat with a 427 Tunnel Ram to keep up. Made for an interesting summer.

Lake James......what can I say. Be alert on the weekends.....it suprises me more people don't get killed on that piece of water.

Let's look each other up in Kentucky.......Just ask for Tim Nussbaum.

Although Riva cannot be a supporter, we would welcome all the Yamaha owners to sign up and join the event! Things are going GREAT and we are on track to exceed 300 participants with ease.

Details and reservations are available at http://www.allpwcs.com
