the following is an e-mail I received from an unsolicited agent wanting to sell one of my skis

I acknowledge the receipt of your reply email.I am happy that you have been able to get back to me on ways on moving the transaction to a conlusive end.

I have discussed extensively with my client and proven to him practically the state of your craft.This has really impressed him and hence the improvement in the sales negotiations.

As a result of this , i require that you tell me categorically the payment method you will opt for.A cheque or a Bank Deposit of funds.

In either of the two ways , my client will include the sales price of your craft, the shippment fees from its base down to England and the company Agency/Broker fees.

This means that if you would accept a cheque, you must be ready to send the shipping fees to the shipping company immediately you get the check so as to make sure a shipping slot is booked because where are approaching the end of the year.If it is by bank deposit of funds you must ne ready to have the shiping fees sent immediately you are notified by your bank that there is a payment on your account.

The shipping fees deposit is $5,000 u.s funds.After this has been sent to the shipping company which i will give you details, you will now have to send my broker fees after the boat has been picked up.

I await your prompt response on this , so as to round up negotaitions promptly.

This scam has been going on for a while. I wonder if people are actually still sending these idiots money. If it sounds too good to be true, it is!

I mean come on, someone wants to send you a $8K check and you wire the remainder to them. How stupid could you be?
