I'm back home now recovering. Thanks Guys. It took 9 stiches in my forehead to close my gap that has pretty much down to the bone. My nose has a small crack with me missing a little skin on the side on my nose, with two stiches there. Brusied in the ribs, leg, shoulder, forearm and jam hand. Ski is missing everything on top, everything was sheered off, handle bars, pod. I can fix her, but I might just buy a Yamaha instead, Big Grin I hear that don't run that fast so I should be fine. Big Grin Ben

I'm glad you're ok Ben...lucky for you, that Sea Doo was going to get embarrassed. Big Grin

If you need a GPR to ride, got a ported 1300 that needs a rider..lemme know when you get here. No wave jumping just riding....dang, you must have been hauling to to knock the top deck off.

Ben,
Please get well soon and fix that doo. The Yamaha boys need some competition from something other than another Yamaha.

Qoute from another board from Ben:

"Thanks guys, I feel a little down but not out.
I know a few people have tried to call but my Moto Raz is on the
bottom on the river along with the top half of my ski.
I got a temp phone now so I should be able to get your call now, my phone book is not saved on this phone.
I was pretty lucky, could have been fatal but I guess somebody was watching out
for me. I had just made a few passes and was headed back to the boat ramp. It was getting dark and I stopped for one more dead start run before I had to turn around the bend to go up on my trailer. When I left the line it hooked hard and the ski turned a little to the right and by the time I had set back on the seat and did a quick look at the tach I noticed I was too far to the right. The problem is this huge tree is down in the water and it goes all the way across the water channel to the middle. So you need to stay in the middle or to the left side of the lake channel to clear the tree. It was my fault, the speed and acceleration of the ski just got me out of line just enough to be headon with the tree. I was coming down from around
65 mph and I had already backed off the throttle when I notice I was in big trouble. I could not steer the ski unless I have it full gas and I was already hitting parts of the outer tree, it was to late to jump so I had to ride her out.
I noticed a few of the tree branches would go below my boat, but then I saw the main branch was about head high. I tried to duck below the handle bars and turn to the left, but the branch extended to far out. I heard a big bang and I was knocked off the ski backwards. Probably from the front hood from being knocked off and part of the tree branch. I pretty sure I broke the main branch into because I went back this morning to look for parts. I rememeber being very deep down in the water and swimming back to the top. I think I was knock out toward the middle of the channel, but when I came back up I didn't see my ski. It was a good 30 or 40 yards in front of me. I started to swim and made it to another branch on the left side and rested a sec, till I could swim over to my boat. There was blood pouring down into my right eye, so I could only see out of my left eye. When I climb back on my ski, I started to reach for the starter button. But after wiping my face, I realized there was nothing there, only the silver hood was left over the motor. Everything else was ripped off. The steering was ripped right out and I could see the broken wires, throttle cable and steering cable snap into. Lucky for me I had my small boat paddle in my back storage, I was able to paddle over to the peir and walk my ski around the sand dune to my trailer. I had to drive myself home (8 to 10 miles) and I used a towel on my head for the blood to stop. About 6 hours later I was leaving the hospital and headed home.
I have a deep cut on my forehead that took 9 stiches to close. I had another cut
on my left side but it didn't require stiches. My nose does have a very small crack, but it really doesn't look like its out of place. It required two stiches under my nose, and my right side of my nose is just missing the skin only. So its not a pretty sight. My stomach and side is bruised from tree branches, and my right thumb is jammed pretty good. My right leg above the knee took a direct hit, my left forearm and lower left shoulder also took a direct hit. My upper back is bruised and my life vest did have a torn place in the front, I can only image what those places would have looked like without the J. P. 100 mph vest in place. I did have a $5500 replacement policy on this boat, so I don't know if they will just total the boat are just repair. Those are some expensive parts from seadoo and I'm sure it will cost a lot for parts and labor. Jeff told me on the phone that he could cover me on most all of the parts, so It really doesn't matter to me. Maybe is time to move on to another project, maybe I would be safer on one of those slow 785 X4 boats.
The good news is, this morning I found my GPS floating in the water, and found my Pet Tach ($300) laying on the bank of the river. Everything works, I even made a pass of 61.9 mph on my GTXL.
Part of my hood had washed up on the bank, but nothing was left of it to salavage. I'm sure the steering and my phone went to the bottom of the river. Well thats it for now, I got a big headache and need to rest a little, I didn't go back and read over my post, so I hope you can make out what I was saying. Thanks again guys"

Ben,
Let me know when you want that hood.

Next time I'll send you one of my slower props to test instead of the fast ones Wink Big Grin
