I have an Eclipse I would like to sell and would love to clean up the paint. There is no down-to-the-metal scratches. Well they're really arent to many scratches, just a few knicks, swirl marks, marks from bugs and stones kicking up onto the front of the car, etc. Nothing real major. I was actually thinking about wet sanding the whole car (or at least the bad spots) with a high grit sand paper, then take it from there. Where do I go from there, I know i need some type of compound, and i also have an electric wheel my uncle bought me from pep boys. Its a cheaper wheel but i think it will do the trick for wat i want to do.

Can someone just explain the steps i need to take and the products i need to use and how to do this?

I'm 19 years old and have little experience with body work, so i'm not expecting a show car finish, nor do i need it. I just need some guidance and i can take it from there. i would just like to make it look real nice wen i go to sell it.

I know this is a good forum and i have gotten much help from it so i wont be disapointed. Thanx a lot
