Andrew, I think she rides in the novice class with you. She has the other 03'R. She may be near the top of the regional standings.

I guess that's what it takes to win the region-travel!! I'm satisfied just to travel under 150 miles and have fun just competing. I'm not really to thrilled to be banging hulls with the young guys.

yea i know what you guys mean. im still lookin at a hair line crak in my hull. but thats racin you know. sometimes to pervent a crack in your hull its not trying to pass the person its waiting for the right time to just go by at your pace. because thats what happened to me at wildwood. my pace was faster i just wa not happy with being 3rd with 4 laps to go.

You know. it's really a hard thing to decide whether you want to race or just ride around a track, kindof a decision to make before you get into the sport. Contact when you are riding with competitive people is inevitable and water is unpredictable, sometimes in such tight quarters contact can't be helped. The combination of speed confined quarters and water is not one condusive to detailed boats at the end of the day. If bad feelings will be borne from contact then maybe the track is not the place to be. I've had my share of scars and on a brand new boat, I've just shrugged them off. I've become way more careful and skilful at avoiding contact, but sometimes you try so hard to avoid hitting someone that you end up hit trying to prevent it. In fact sometimes when you are in front you cause yorself to get hit by blinding the guy directly behind you and forcing him into your hull when you slow down for the next corner, it happened to me, made a pass right before the corner, blinded the guy I passed and as I slowed to negociate the bouy he hit me rom behind, had no clue where he was at that point.

Tom: Next race on Aug. 23 & 24th at Seaside Heights NJ Make sure you bring the 1300. We will have some time to cruise around a bit. Carl got my cylinder yesterday and already sent it out for repair. I should have it back late next week or early the following week. It should only take a couple of hours to get back running. Gotta keep the endurance race boat in the water!!
