WELL MY 1991 mercury 115hp outboard blew up the other day and after dissassembling the motor i found that the sleeve in the number 1 cylinder is busted and the crank has been so hot it is blue. so instead of spending the 1400 to fix this i am just gonna buy a complete powerhead from one of the companies on the net. i have found pmc north america at http://www.pmcna.com/ and was wondering if anyone has ever used this company and what was your results? any help would be greatly appreciated chris

If this is the same PMC that is located in FL. it took me 6 Months to get all of my core deposit with the help of the Atty. General of Fla. They shorted me $175 and also they were 3 weeks late on promised time for me to get my motor.

It's a 951 motor for a GSX limited. They're the cheapest and claims they have several motors in stock so I should get my motor within a week. But 2 weeks later after they got my money they told me It's not in stock and that they have to build me one needless to say it took 4 weeks for me to get my motor. Then core charge refund now that a whole new story took about 6 to 7 months for me to get my money lots of promises the whole experience was just a nightmare. As far as the motor can't tell you cause I sold it without putting it back in the water. I'm not about to take any chances.

About a year ago, I bought a GPR 1200 motor from them. It took longer than they said but it was a good motor, until my out of balance flywheel took out another crank at the snout. They honored their warranty fully. I paid shipping. Iwould use them again for a stock motor.

I guess I was lucky. Sorry about the bad experiences. I'm not a big modification guy so I won't own a ski without an extended warranty
