Well I havent been here for a while ,I have missed the forum, I have been batteling a monster inside me...you know what is weird is having a complete stranger tell you you might not make it to see you 2 year old graduate, his exact words were" we will do all we can", I start my treatments at the end of this month if nothing is better inside me, I dont mean to drag any one down ,but some times you just need some buddies to talk to, NANDO , you know of all people that my SPOUSE is not very supportive,I still enjoy reading all the posts and try to help when I can, I am just way more tired than I used to be, I hope it is the medication.....

Keep up the strength man, the will and hope shall keep you going, not to mention that 2 year old. We will all support you with the power of thought and prayer, there is strength in numbers. Just remember that we're all behind you pushing you forward so you can beat the monster.

Bullraider,I have been through what your getting ready to go thru, allthough my desease(Hep-C) is not painfull or fully advanced, the medication I must take to achieve remission has been devestating this round,(2 months to go to complete 1 year treatment),and I know its very difficult to deal with all the emotions, especially when first diagnosed. If it will help in any way or you just need someone to relate with feel free to call any-time!405-943-5577 Steve.

Think of the little one.
The human mind is the strongest medicine arround , just think of all the time you WILL spend with her.
Keep her in mind and you WILL beat that bad monster .
Medicine is moving forward all the time and with the help of a strong mind can do things which no doctor can explain .
I don't know you but will pray (in my own way) for you and your family.

Hey Jeff,

You were one of the first veteran Raider guys to persuade me to start modifying my watercraft on the quest for more speed (and not losing sight of reliability) by answering many of my lengthy "newbie" emails.

Thank you!!!

And now some advice for you...

Fight the fight of your life,
NEVER give up, no matter how bleak the situation looks, Don't F*** around with the local hospital - go to one that specializes in cancer treatment. Question and challenge your doctor often. (they get "numb" from treating people on a daily basis) You want every option available, make sure they are current on "the new weapons in the arsenal" for treatment.

You will make it through this with the right attitude !!!

I believe I am goin to get a second opinion, from the M.D. Anderson institute, this doctor I am going to now wanted give it at least 6 months before I go and put the camera down my throat again, CRAP, I feel by that time, things could be getting pretty nasty down there, I am just worried......this whole thing is pretty upsetting.............

I would NOT wait 6 months!!!! I would go elsewhere...for sure.... a lot of things can happen in 6 months! You need to stop drinking that nasty Texas water and you will be better heheh

Go to MD Anderson, get that second opinion.

My understanding is that MD Anderson is at the top of the field....and you being in houston, it's close.

Never hesitate to ask for help from your "jetski" brothers.
