What is the deal with the cost of Yamalube 2W? $78 a gallon. Do I have to use yamalube. There has to be a cheaper alternative just as good.

High dealer price is around $20-25 a galon for Yamalube, Maxima 927 IS NOT an option unless you are premixing, Amsoil has an injector oil as well as Maxima, but you must make sure it's INJECTOR oil unless you have converted the craft to pre mix. All these oils are equal or higher in price than the Yamalube, so frankly if you are looking to save a buck, find a dealer that will sell you the oil in bulk and refill your gallon containers, I used to get it for $12/gallon from my dealer this way.

I buy it in the 2.5 gal container then refill the container at any local dealer for $15-17/gal.

The dealers in my area, St. Louis, MO, sell it for 34.95 a gallon. I have yet to find a place that will refill containers. That's the way to go.
