APBA OFF-SHORE ANNOUNCES ITS NEW DIVISION

California City, CA - BP MotorSports (BPMS) has reached an agreement with APBA Off-Shore Powerboat Racing, LLC, the premier power boat racing sanctioning organization in the world, to establish the new APBA OFFSHORE PERFORMANCE JET CRAFT SERIES which will represent and manage performance jet craft racing (known as jet skis, runabouts, personal watercrafts, etc.) starting in 2003.
The first event under this banner will be the Salton Sea Team Endurance "200" a 4-hour race slated for March 22, 2003 at the Salton Sea State Park Headquarters, Salton Sea, California. This event will launch the new racing season for BPMS and for jet craft events, which will include, in addition to the Team Endurance events, four, 2-Hour Gran Prix and four, 50-minute Sprint Races. In total there are 12 endurance events in the 2003 Series, with some events to be run in conjunction with the APBA Off-Shore's premier circuit, the GMC Pro Grade Championship Series, including the National Championships and Off Shore Worlds, and others with various APBA Off-Shore Regional events.
Details are being fine-tuned but this new venture will offer jet craft racers across the country and the world other options to participate and gain recognition in this fast growing, exciting sport.
In addition to off-shore/endurance events, BP MotorSports has also set a Performance Jet Craft WaterCross Series consisting of seven events. Some events in the series will run in conjunction with other BPMS events on the same weekend while others will be stand-alone events. National and World Championships for Performance Jet Craft WaterCross events are now being worked out and will be announced shortly.
Promoters and racers will need to be performance jet craft members of APBA Offshore and race under its rules and regulation, which are not significantly different from other similar series in which our competitors have competed in the past.
APBA Offshore will stage its National Championships and World Championship this year in Tampa, October 17-19 and Key West, FL, November 17-23, respectively, and will include performance jet craft racers from around the country. These events draw literally tens of thousands of spectators.

A new era is about to begin. One that will see the sport of performance jet craft exposed to a wider and more varied range of enthusiasts and spectators. Using venues such as water festivals, city-wide expositions, regional, national and world wide events with television coverage, and a vast array of print and film media, racers and their sponsors will receive a plethora of media exposure. Currently, APBA Off-Shore has regularly scheduled television racing shows on the Fox Speed Channel. For more details about APBA Off-Shore go to their website: http://www.apba-offshore.com To log-on to BPMS's website go to: http://www.bpmotorsports.net.
Entry forms for the first event of the season and a tentative schedule can also be found in BP MotorSports website.

This is great news! When we attended the Macon, GA APBA Offshore Powerboat race last July to set the World Water Speed Record the APBA asked me a lot of questions about the current state of PWC racing and the IJSBA. They expressed interest in being involved with PWC racing again. This could be the beginning of something good.

BE VERY CAREFULL

There is a hugh power struggle between APBA and the APBA Offshore LLC. Lawsuits pending. Dues money is most of the issue, bylaw chages the other part.

Just Be Carefull
