Hey there all users!
This is my project,I will build a Yamaha Exciter Jetboat with two gp1300R engines! Just wanted to show my project and been able to ask questions about diffrent things around this, engines, performanceparts, and so.. Because I live in sweden and there are not that many people here that has the knowledge about pwc/engines and all around it.. This message has been edited. HOLY COW!!!! Yamaha contracted us to turn one into a full mod back in `97. The motors were right out of our race craft. We were in the process of making custom triple pipes when they pulled the plug ($).
I'd like to be able to go for a test ride, but I don't think I can talk my boss into paying for that plane ticket!!! RIVA CREW Please post and ride responsibly!!! |

Make sure they install 48 novis properly jetted w/ a custom spacer and use good reeds. After you are finished building it, go ahead and ship it to me for my christmas present.

RIVA CREW: I will keep you posted!
Coop:they install? I´ll do everything myself but what is "48 novis jetted w/a a custom spacer??? The mods to the engines will be: Riva EFI D-plates Reeds Air filters Maybe Riva like to make a nice price for me... can make a custom sticker with Riva logo on it. Things that will be done more than install these engines is: 1.Change the seatcovers to a diffrent color custommade. 2.Custombuild a new dashboard with 2x Gp1300r digitaldisplays, and a GPS, new steeringwheel. 3Repaint the hood. 4.Custommake new "stickers" "Exciter GPR" for the whole boat. stay with the injectors for now.....much easiear to tune.

Your using twin 1300s, that's gotta be awesome. Wish they still made the smaller exciters, Everything is getting bigger. Put 2 sets of free flow exhaust and it should sound awesome.......or some sort of free flow.

Some updates..
This is how I will do with the replaced "bearinghouses", only shorten the driveshafts now. Have custommade some stainless parts to get the bearingshouse there I wanted. Next thing to do is to build some new engine mounts for the engines... And cut a little in the wall back of the engines to get the entire exhaust to fit.. tight tight.. And the entire electronicsystem are on they way in to the boat as well.. Building a Exciter with 2xGP1300R engines.. |

Great project!!
I am almost the owner of an LS 2000 and I was surprised the only boat the 155's went into were the XR1800's. I have never seen one in Ohio, though. Your boat is going to be one fire breathing dragon!!! TD B O A T = (Break out another thousand) |

Some updates..
The guys at Yamaha must have had this project in mind when they build the Gp1300r.. The fuelpump have the exact same length as the Exciter oem fuelpickup! Just have to cut 2 round holes in the tank now for the OEM gp1300r fuelpumps! EASY! And now the one engine incl Exhaust are fitted in the boat, it´s tight..very tight. Had to cut out a hole in the wall in the back to fit the exhaust, just have to "remake" the plastic on the inside later.. [/img]Building a Exciter with 2xGP1300R engines.. |

IMHO,
You might want to makes those "holes" in the stringer wider, with at least a half inch or more spare room. As those engines "rock and roll" at WOT, and the boat comes unhooked, hooked, you will have those engines and pipes moving around. If those pipes even TOUCH those fiberglass stringers, then either the pipes will crack, the mounting bosses will crack or the stringer will crack. I agree with Mark 105% Make sure there is enough room for viberation movement in the pipes.
I sure wish you could find a set of stinger pipes to put on that thing to save you some room and weight. How do you plan on suppressing the noise? is there a waterbox behind the exhaust like a gpr? GOOD LUCK that thing should Phuckin FLY!!! #521 Region 5 Closed Course '04 1st place Am. well, if the exhaust is too tight to fight, why not run custom straight pipes out the transom

Because everyone until now has said that I must use the OEM pipe, and to make new ones would just degress the hp..
Hope this setup will work and fit... the end of this project is close.. we will see Building a Exciter with 2xGP1300R engines.. |
