Ya know whats crazy....I sold one of my scale helis a 6ft Bell 22 with strobes/navs/rotating beacon, retracts and bought my first 96 1100 raider with it. Boy I miss that heli....talk about a crowd catcher.....I used to fly over hwy 436 here in Florida on final approach with it and I can't tell you how many people would come by to check it out. It was one sweet heli.....although I had 5200.00 in it Eek

It's only money....

I'm ready to get my 701 done...it should be 62-63mph ski.....

I am vey close to getting a new 05 1300...just hate to goto payments and also insurance on a new ski......

I went a different route..electric ..PULLING..I have a Clodbuster ,modded frame"stainless", 4:1 gear ratio adapters, astro flight pulling motors, home made switching relay,"for 24 volts" stainless gear sets, and stainless axle housings, and a custom adjustable pulling hitch, we had a sled at a club and it pulled 300 lbs on the sled.BELIEVE ME..that is nothing, the records now are crazy..something about the open class ,where you see 6 electric engines all strapped together running off of 48 volts, all chain drives driving one to four shafts, and that thing screaming, while pulling that sled...too cool..MANY fullsize cars and trucks have been pulled by these in parking lots

Mike, I know what you mean. When I would crank up one of my fast outriggers and run it across the street (next to the main entrance to our subdivision) Everyone would stop on the road and a few times it looked like I-10 at rush hour. A few people eventually acused me of running over the ducks with my boats. Boat 1000.00+ - Duck 2 bucks, you do the math.

The best questions yet....are

1. How much is that a few hundred bucks?
2. How fast will that thing go?
3. How do you see that thing going that fast?
4. How long you been flying ?

LOL

been buying stuff off Ebay like crazy!!

Now I have.......

1x NTC3 with RB V15 Rody tuned engine RD pipe, Factory race version car with Carbon Parts FASSTT!! HARDCORE PERFORMANCE for 1:10 Brand New!!

1x NTC3 with Novarossi .12 5port engine, RD pipe and titanium, carbon & aluminium parts!! Handles AWSOME!! used a few times

1x Traxxas 4Tec's, OS 15CVRX engine CVECC Pipe, used for bashing up and down the street everyday, pretty fast allaround fun car.

Also just bought out an EX racer for all his parts, got 20 different sets of wheels, a tool trunk with hundreds of parts and spares and different hopups for the NTC3. I could probably make a couple cars out of spares and still have tons of spares.....cost me $450.

I think this is my jet ski for this year, different but fun. I do miss the Hot Rod Jet ski's I used to have!!

Be sure and break it in properly, then start leaning it out on the 4th or 5th tank. A temp gauge is handy to have, you dont want the head temp to get over 275 deg when running it hard. Listen to the motor at top speed and watch for the smoke, you want to see a little. The low speed should be set so it will idle for a miute or two and not hesitate when you open the throttle. If it coughs and sputters and accellerates slow, its rich. Its set perfect when it will idle without dying after a few miutes and when you open the throttle it should take off and blow out a puff of smoke.

As far as needle settings, I dont know, they always seem to differ. Go by the instructions. I never even broke my stock engine in and I went to the Wasp .26. Of course, when you upgrade in one spot you have to upgrade in another (HD dogbones, bevel gears, etc)

A temp guage is very handy. Here is the one I use. Mine is the older one (yellow). this one is the updated one.
This should be a must for any engine when tuning and especially break-in and lean-out
