Thanks so much for your kindness. It's appreciated.

Here is Morgan City, LA in relation to the storm track. Looks like its getting close.

We are thinking really hard about evacuating.

Come on to Beaumont buddy. Well hook you guys up. Bring the skis, well get a little riding in. Back in the late 80s, I worked out of Venice, I can imangine that those boys are all getting out of dodge too.

My prediction is it's coming more west. I bet either Morgan City, or Houma take a direct hit.
That does put New Orleans on the bad side of the storm though.

Well, at least y'all can board up and batten down the hatches. I'm stuck in Port of Spain, Trinidad and can't get back to my house in Lafayette to do any preparations.I'll say a prayer the 'cane has a quick death at sea and hope a few friends can help my wife and kids get it together. Good luck to you all.

Lafayette should be plenty far enough to be out of danger. Good luck and let us know if you guys need anything.

Thank God you're leaving Jerry. I posted on the other board for you to get out now..I have been through 31 tropicals and hurricanes in my life and stayed...this one would make me leave. Now.

Prayers sent all those in harm's way.

Lafayette will not be far enough away if it turns up Vermilion Bay and towards Cypremort Point! Much of the tornado activity will be well after landfall. Hurricane Lilly, a much smaller hurricane, still had 100 mph winds in Lafayette when it took that path. If you wait to see if it takes that path, its already too late to leave.

If the Morgan City area takes a direct hit......we can kiss our Mudbug PWC Hole away for many years to come. Those narrow bayou runs will be so plugged up with the big trees that line them.........

..........I just can't imagine. Frown Frown

I listen to what the voices inside my GPR glove box tell me to do.
