Looks like it moved far enough East that New Orleans won't get the worst of it. You guys in Mississippi won't be so lucky Frown

We got lucky. But the Panhandle/Gulf Port area again gets the worst of it. I've already begun a drive here at RIVA for relieft supplies and funds. We'll send everything we can that way as soon as possible. We hope everyone makes out ok.

Got ahold of my buddie who went home to Morgan City this weekend, he has a Houston Cell phone that is working while all the phones down there are out.
Morgan City is fine, cable went out for about 20 minutes LOL, phones are down for who knows how long. All the hotels are booked up. If the MB is still on and you don’t have your room reserved you better do it as soon as the phones go back up cause these Hotel’s will be filled up for quite some time.

This is probably going to be the case as more and more reports come in and as bad as this thing continues to get, we might be out of luck on the MB. There are hundreds of thousands left homeless. All the hotels here In Houston are full along I-10 & 290, and the water in New Orleans keeps rising and from what I just heard on the radio is that they are relocating the people from the SuperDome over here to the AstroDome.

Well, that's pretty insensitive. TE-June was merely pointing out something that will obviously happen out of necessity and affect everyones plans for MB-II.

BTW - Houston isn't that far removed from the disaster anymore....

Well at least that shows that QuickMick doesn't know to much about emergencies, but at least I guess he got his jollies out of it.

Below is why I said what I said. Maybe im missing something here but after that post to SMW. Maybe it was a joke but he took it better than some people I know. I still stick with it. Maybe somone can clear the air.

Not sure how they will work reservations over people that have no where to go that are there now.

RC, so now you see I was not being insensitive to the people affected by the hurricane. My house has been flooded by many storms and hurricanes, and its not any good.
