Hey guys

Thinking about getting a wetsuit to do some riding this weekend. Live in NC..water temp is 46 degrees and air temp in the low 50's. What are peoples experience riding in water this cold. What suit do I need? Would a 3/2 mm full get the job done?

Thanks

Instead of dumping water from cylinder #3 overboard, send it to your wetsuit.

M a buddy and I went out at the end of december and air temp was 53-56 and water temp about the same as yours. I used a 2m suit then put a one piece heavy duty rain suit over it, had a blast, also if ya can wear a helmet with a head sock, the other thing is keeping your hands and feet warm, I just wore my open fingered gloves, which was a bit chilly but do able. I will wear my full fingered next time. Dont forget the good footwear Dont wear sorrells either, somebody told me that was the way to go Mad took one step in the water at the ramp and bam, knee high sorrells full of water, what was I thinking, Big Grin but they were wool lined so my feet stayed warm. and thats my thoughts, will hopefully get to go again soon.
