I was able to get away to the deep clear water of Lake Ouachita, AR with my ski this past weekend. I got wood once I set eyes on all the cabin crusiers and those big wakes. It's not the ocean surf, but it was the decent air time that I was looking for. My home lake is shallow and only has one cabin crusier that doesn't like to be followed. Anyway, I had a great time and had to let someone know.

BigT,
I know what you mean. I have always riden Lake Champlain in NY, which can get pretty wild on it's own but when the big cruisers come down from Canada and their plowing water theres nothing like it on a calm day, flat water and 6' predictable swells. I recently bought a camp on the lake and have my Waverunners on hoists - the bay that I am on I can see the cruisers coming for miles, Once I see one go buy, I have enough time to put one of the Waverunner in the water, warm it and go have some fun. I'm jealous...of both of you. I ride in a shallow river. I just got to work up the nerve to take it down to the ocean.

I almost ran out of gas, I was having so much fun. I didn't realize how far I had gone until I hit reserve.
I need to grow some balls and go to the ocean myself. I would need someone that knew the where, when, & how to go do it right. I've never been much on the salt, so for now I'm in love with the big fresh water cruiser wakes. |

I think it's ironic that all I really know of is ocean riding but I'm wanting to have some big lakes to ride around and it's the opposite for you guys wanting to get out in the ocean....ocean riding is definitely a workout; at least for me it is.
