a lot of times they use PWC to get the surfer up to speed to catch a wave. i've surfed in hurricane weather up here before... but i doubt i'd have the brass to surf on those waves! _______________________________________ 05 SXR 98 SJ 94 Waveblaster NJ/PA Crew President -AWA charter club www.njpacrew.org

that is pure nuts....I remember back a few months ago when that last hurrican came from the Gulf across the the atlantic I was out there at least10 times...Ok, so the surf was not THAT big..but there were times when i was down in a trough of one wave, and could look up at the next wave coming and no lie it was at least a 20 foot wall of water....There were 2 instances when I just had to call it quits, this was just when it started to cool off last fall so there werent many peopel still riding...I have also done some tow-in for a couple of friens...Ill tell you what, we have it easy!!! try getting out in those waves WITHOUT 150+ horsepower to do the work for you.....

Rent Billabong Odessey and see these guys in action being towed into the most ridiculous waves in the world. Cinematography is awesome and if you have a nice 5.1 system, crank it!! I wouldn't say "next best thing to being there" but pretty exciting to watch.
