i believe you are correct dave. i 'think' the issue with the dc jets was because the air traffic controllers lost track of the jets. up here the big 3 airports had a good eye on what was happening. in fact, i believe they reached out very early to the air force about the first hijacking. but again, no one had any clue it was going to be used as a missile.

when the jets where scrambled out of south jersey...they went in the right direction. as much as i would have liked to see one of the towers and occupants survive, i wonder what the out come of a us fighter jet taking out a 757 over NYC would have been. i dont think it wqould have made anything "better". but it would have sent a signal overseas.

Man, I thought after the elections we could all go back to being friends again. I guess I was wrong.
For better or worse jr. is our president for 4 more years. He now has the chance to finish his so called agenda's as he promised during his campain. Now lets see if he really has a clue as to how he is going to balance the budget if he continues his current trends. I for one don't see it happening. I predict that at the end of his term we will have the largest deficit of all time. I also predict that oil companies and the large corporations will be making record profits, and that the top 10% of wealthy Americans show a sudden increase in wealth while the rest of us average Americans have to spend more on products, because of inflation, while our income stays pretty much the same.
Hop, I guess you could say that a vote for the democratic party is a vote for socialism, helping the have not's, but then again you can also say that a vote for the republican party is a vote for elite-ism, helping the have's.
It would be great if we all work together and try to help everybody get a piece of that pie.
And by the way, diesel just a few months ago was the cheapest fuel, now its the most expensive. It now cost me 50% more to fillup. I don't know who is to blame, but I don't like it. All I can do is pass it on to my customers as a fuel surcharge like all the other suppliers I use. Any of you petrolem engineers out there want explain how diesel jumped this high this quick. I know that prices fluctuate some but these increases have been mind boggling and have come without any explanation. I remember being told that when we invaded Iraq that the price of oil would stabilize and be more reliable. Boy I sure did't think this is what he mean't or was it just another of jr's deceptions of the American people.
Time has a way of letting the truth come out and we have 4 years of time to see the truth.
So why don't we all spend the next 3 1/2 yrs getting along with each other and working together to solve some of the issues that divide us. Hell, who knows. we might find some solutions that the politicians can use. rp

I never said a woman won't win election although I don't see it happening anytime soon. What I said was Hilary won't win. She has no chance period. Her views are far to socialistic for mainstream America.

We in Florida spend many hours idling down our waterways due to the Manatee regulations the Clinton Administration put in place. There are more Clinton restrictions still that Jeb Bush [the Pres's brother and our Gov.] has refused to enforce yet.
You also have forgotten about the closeure by executive order of the National Parks to Boaters and PWC or are ya'll "not the brightest bulbs in the pack".
