First race of the year.
I'm all done up in my Tifosi gear ready to party. 01 GP1200r '90 SJ |

next race , michael schumacher will be back 100%
!!!!! Fissicella had luck from the Qualifying conditions. |

Did you notice how the 'Schu' retired to save the engine for the next race?????
l did like the new two sessions to chase pole, it mixed them up really well. l was at last years race in Melbourne and l have no favourites, but the red cars just ran away, with the way it was then (and had been for years) on getting pole position. |

Yeah, I seen that. I think he will still eb the man to beat again this year. Ferrari has also made slight changes to the aero too, it's gonna be a good year. Schuey is the man.
I was watching qualifying last night on speed for the Australian Gran Prix. Did you how loose those cars were last night, it almsot looked as if there traction control was disabled. I think BMW made some motor changes too that should help Montoya and the crew to catch up. Go Ferrari !! 2000 Stage II GP1200R 76.7 mph / 7280 rpm |

There are some big changes this year in F-1 too. Between Nascar and F-1, it will be an interesting year.
In Nascar, the softer tyres and and lower spoiler will utilize the drivers skill more. 2005 F-1 changes 2000 Stage II GP1200R 76.7 mph / 7280 rpm |

Well I am very happy for Fisichella, he's alway been in the wrong team at the wrong moment, I hope he'll be successfull.
BUT, the shoe maker got very unlucky during the qualifications and Barrichello still finishes 2nd, USING THE F2004 M! I don't think Schumacher will use the opportunity to install a fresh engine in his F2004M because if he did, he couldn't use the F2005 for the 3rd race. So either he re-uses this one and suffers one more race or Ferrari throws him in the F2005 at Sepang. Sauber is using the 2005 full spec Ferrari motor and the 2 Saubers finished Melbourne, so that would be encouraging for Ferrari to do so, even though They'd have to come to Sepang geared for two different cars since Barrichello finished his race and therefore HAS to use the same motor one more time. 11 Everything 100%!!! |

The only way BMW would help Montoya now is to make their motors worse, since Montoya rides for Mercedes now And BTW, almost forgot: FORZA FERRARI! This message has been edited. Last edited by: 11, Everything 100%!!! |

I think Berny has gone nuts with the new qualifying setup.
How is seeing one car on track at a time more interesting than the old way? I loved the 12 lap format and the late dash for pole where you had to plan your lap so you don't get stuck in traffic. The last minute was allways a nail bighter with new fast time after new fast time. The slower teams got TV coverage bu coming out on track early and the pole sitter was the one who was the fastest. Yesterdays race was boring, looked more like a NASCAR mobile traffic jam than F1. With the wings higher(which was ment to help in drafting but didn't) and the one tire rule no one wanted to risk flat spotting in a late braking move . C'mon this is F1, the best of the best so why not let them race. In the past Ferrari always introduced the new car one at a time so with MS being out of sinc with RB it could play right into their hands. If MS replaces the engine he will be stuck with it for the next 2 races but good old RB will be all set to run the new model sooner. Than again with Sauber running so stromg MS might just get the new motor for the next GP. All in all I'm sure Ferrari is crunching the numbers right now and will have a better strategy for the new rules. They are the ones to beat and even though MS got of to a bad start this year he will be there at the end. FORZA FERRARI SCHUMI IS GOD !!!! P.S.Did you guys see Montwiners tires?? 01 GP1200r '90 SJ |

Well Boris I agree with your approach.
IMO F1s rely too much on aerodynamics and not enough on physical grip. And physical grip doesn't decrease when you get closer to another car, aerodynamic turbulences WASTE the car's balance. Formula one should get back to unlimited slicks and suppress wings altogether, now THAT would be a good show. And I really dislike the new qualification format, what was wrong with the good old traditional one that lasted and worked for over 30 years? It was so much fun to see the teams playing hide and seek and being allowed to decide when was the right time. That was strategy, now you get out when it's your turn, if rain starts falling, you're screwed. 11 Everything 100%!!! |

The one car at a time might work on left turn only oval racing but this is road racing.
The car or driver should be the factor in who is faster and not the weather. I'm with you on reducing aerodynamics and going back to the tail happy days where sometimes a race was won on guts alone. The kind of moves that made Zenardi famous no linger exist in F1 and that is sad. And what's this crap I hear of doing away with pitstops all together?? Haven't we gone down that road before??? The leader would run away and that was that. Only a defect could have prevented a win. Remember last year when Ferrari was beat by their own late first pitstop strategy only to change on the fly and stop 4 times?? Mow that was great TV. Am I ranting?????? P.S. It's o.k to vent Boris
And you are right, the days of driving like Alex Zanardi showed is no longer here. Also, the reduction in downforce is going to really stretch the field out as in who has nutz and who has nut$. There will be as much as a 25% reduction in downforce. Nascar going to experience the same scenarios with 1" cut off the rear spoiler. ~Loose is Fast~ 2000 Stage II GP1200R 76.7 mph / 7280 rpm |
