I'm thinking about doing a family reunion (wife's side)in Destin. I'll be bringing in folks from Tampa, Pensacola, New York, etc.
Anyway, I'm looking for possibly 2 houses (nearby to each other with both on the beach or one on the beach and one with other water access). Or, a house and a condo. Probably 6 families.
Any advice on where would be the best place to stay at in Destin? Any advice on best riding spots/access for the 1300 and 800?

I will be in Destin for spring break. There is an awsome hotel that I stay at right across the street from AJ's Bimini Bar. You can launch across the causway, its free. If you launch on the Destin side its 10 bucks
P.S. Anyone else here going to be in Destin for the spring break (14-20 March)?

I hear Destin is very nice. I plan to take my family there this summer.
Have they recovered from all the hurricane damage, or were they spared?

I understand that Destin still has some damaged areas that have not been completely rebuilt yet. However, I believe Gulf Shores/Perdido got the worst of it and they are taking beach house reservations.
I am not seeing many beachfront homes for rent in July in Destin but perhaps I haven't found the primary property manager, yet.
