The SuperCharged 4tec might give the GP1300R a run for the money, hehe Smile

The only real upside I see to Sea Doo also pretty much going exclusively DI or 4 stroke is that now somebody has to get serious about DI mods for all brands (I know Yami and Polaris are allready well on the way!). But with everybody now (Kawasaki?) going that route it may finally force some aftermarket companies to put some R&D in that area.

By the way Suz, ski didn't do anything wrong here. No reason to go after her.

Sorry San Diego, but I'm gonna have to side with the "outsiders" on this one, ski and boggs didn't start the thread, I believe Suzan is way out of line with the inflamatory and condescending remark deliberatelly and obviously directed at ski. I know you've been here for a while Suzan and that you are respected by most of the membersof this forum, but I believe you owe ski an apology. There have been extended threads on this forum about the STXR and whether they were here on General Topics really doesn't matter, Riva Crew does a great job of putting things where they belong. And BTW this is NOT a GPR forum it is a Yamaha forum, the only thing I agree with you on Suzan. Now I know there is bad blood between you and ski, take it to e mail, phone, telegram or any other way you can think of, I don't think in this forum we want it bleeding all over our pages. The topic is as interesting as the one you posted on the Kawi stand up and deserves attention as it is a boat lineup we Yamaha owners have to be aware of. Ski did not pick on anyone in particular but informed us of the XMI introduction, something I believe she is entitled to, so let's all get some perspective here .

Ok Mario and Jarrett....
I can not see where I directly offended any one person. I just asked them to keep it where it belongs. I don't see where I owe anyone an apology except for Riva. And that is where I stand on this. I did nothing wrong. I'd give my personal opinion but I won't... I don't have time to deal with other's personal problems. All I do is try to promote this sport. Seems like those that don't are the real problems. So everyone look in the mirror and ask yourself... what have you really done to help this sport out?? And I wish you the best with the outcome!

Back to the topic...... about time isn't it??

Ok... the new doo's look cool but it's not a ski I would want to own in first year production. But the blue on one looks almost Yami blue... Hmmmm??? Nah... I'll stay with the GPR ! Smile

Hi Fercho!
Hope your vacation is going well!! Smile I'm chilled. Don't know what all this is about to be honest. So did you get a chance to get out on the water in Hawaii?? I hope so! Hope you have a good vacation and maybe we'll meet on the water soon! Ski ya!! Smile

BTW........ Can't we all just get along?? Is that so hard to do? Think about it! Mario, you say there is bad blood between me and PWCToday.....no there is not, not on my side anyway. I'm sick and tired of people that try to bash this sport is all. All I have done is try to promote it. If you want to rec ride.... do it.... if you want to race... do it. Just get on a ski and enjoy what you do with it. Isn't this what this sport is all about?? I really think we're all in this for fun! So let's all lighten up. All this type of thread is doing is hurting the sport. And when it comes down to it... is that what you want to do? Use your hull as a planter in your front yard? I know that's not my goal with my ski!! But to each his/her own. Let's all just try to get along and get back to the topic.

Ok... my two cents worth is done!

Well, nice to see Sea-Doo did a lot more for 2003 than Yamaha did. Maybe now Yamaha will wake up and fix and build a better watercraft. The 1300 GPR does not cut it, its just a quick fix that missed the mark.

Any improvments in the PWC market, be it Sea-Doo, Kawi, Honda, Yamaha, Polaris, is only one thing, good for the sport. Hats off to Sea-Doo for building a supercharged boat!
We all get a little arrogant around here sometimes, but remember, when someone is in trouble on the water, do you say, "Oh, its a Doo, not helping them" If you do your 9/10th's of the problem on the water.

Actualy I think the GP1300R is looking better and better now that sieze doo has showen their stuff........XP di? big deal, who cares about di? it needs an engine! 4tec super charged?? that thing is 800LBS dry weight!!!it will need a small block v8 do do anything. Im not selling my GP1200R ever!!! but it looks like there will be an stxr in my garage in a couple months.
Im not impressed with the new ski's

so I just read the feature sheet for the SeaDoo 4 stroke Ltd ski - the GPR is crude by comparison - talk about the Mercedes of Skis - could it be the ultimate family / cruising ski

and a red XP - Doos should be yellow ..........

Using tech tips to make old stuffs newer, would be time to create.
The HX and 97 XP are among the greatest hulls made, just keep that concept alive, creating a new hull with such genes and for Christ's sake, give us a break with that POS 951!
There's nothing new at Bombi's for 2003, a blower on the 4tank won't make it fun.
Now Kawasaki is the only brand left, since Doo and Yamaha gave up, and Polaris is trying to wake up, but not in our way.
The other hope we have would be Honda.
