Big deal, a supercharger on a 800 pound tug boat. My hat is off to them for developing a blower, something we need on these 4 strokes but how about putting it on something smaller than a battleship.

"All-New 2003 Sea•Doo GTX† 4-TEC Supercharged
Introducing the industry’s first supercharged watercraft—the 185hp, GTX† 4-TEC™ Supercharged. Take a good look now because once it’s on the water you won’t see it for long. The world’s first 185hp, supercharged four-stroke 4-TEC ™ “injected” engine is nothing like anything you’ve ever experienced. It looks different. Sounds different. Behaves differently. It’ll change the way you ride. It may even change the way you think. But one thing is for sure. With absolutely non-existent lag time, you can expect the day this watercraft hits the water to be the day the industry, and the sport itself, flip a full 180 degrees. Throw in a list of standard features longer than your arm, and two eye-popping paint jobs. This Sea•Doo GTX† 4-TEC Supercharged isn’t just in a class of its own, it’s starting a whole new school. Class is now in session."

Wasn't the 4-tec already the fastest 4-stroke? This thing should at least do 64-65 mph, I would hope. That would be jamming for a big 3 seater.

I am disappointed that the SP only got a DI, and that red has got to go. Glad we bought the the 02 XP for sure.

Sea Doo and Polaris got a little innovative this year, Yami well lets just say it has been 2 disappointing years, IMO.

Quote "why would WE care" suzanGPR Who made you the spokesman for everyone on this board or made this your site. Speak for yourself please. I care and was interested in this post till you started a personal attack.

Skigrl thanks for the info.

Big deal its in the wrong spot on Tuesday RIVA will move it or delete it at thier discretion. Please leave the moderating to RIVA.

Like Boggs said " If you don`t care why did you post in this thread ? "

Also I ditto gp12trpl remarks.

suzan you said,"I just asked them to keep it where it belongs." Well then ???

susan said "Hi Fercho!
Hope your vacation is going well!! I'm chilled. Don't know what all this is about to be honest. So did you get a chance to get out on the water in Hawaii?? I hope so! Hope you have a good vacation and maybe we'll meet on the water soon! Ski ya!! "

I don`t see how this has to do with Yamaha perfomance. Is this a do as I say not as I do.

If you have nothing postive to add to the information of a thread just move on to the next post. If you have a problem with a thread E-mail Riva and leave it to them.

I also step on Mario's side of the line...and want to add - Riva can take of this forum themselves - they always have...

This is what I posted on SD.net

"My only disappointment is that SD didn't come out with a new hull.

Those of us into racing/speed - I fear we're going to have to come up with a new sport or a ton of money to be able to mod the new machines ANY of the manufacturers are coming out with.

Yamaha and Sea-Doo have shown that the future of PWCs is Lake Tahoe friendly, family oriented, & "all I want to do is put gas in it and go"...

Those looking for skis that go faster and handle better WITHOUT put lots of $$$ into them are going to be disappointed from now
on...

My Grades:

Sea-Doo: C - No new hull
Yamaha: C - Nothing to rival the STX-R
Polaris: D - I don't like the Ninja look of their new hulls

Kawi - Maybe they'll surprise us...I have the feeling they waited the longest to show their new line up for a reason..."

A 4tank is 57/58, that SC model could eventually break the 60 barrier, but that's it.

Suzan,

I'm not trying to cause a stink here, but, for someone that promotes the sport like you say you do, you hold a lot of negativity towards several people and many other brands of watercraft. It's in each manufacturer's interest to keep an eye on what the competition is doing and what is selling for them also. Just like there are several individuals that keep up with what is happeneing on all sides of the fence.

**** , we are all on the same side of the fence against the treehuggers. This bickering is bad for all of us, wether you ride a wetjet, tigershark, or whatever.

OT, I see that you edit most of your post. I'd like to see just half of the stuff that you edit out. hehehe

Hey xp!
Most of my edits are to add more to the thread. I don't mind discussing other brands here. And I have no animosity towards other brands. I love the discussions between the different brands. It shows us over here in Yami/Honda land what the other manufacturers are doing. That's all. You chose a doo, I chose Yamaha..... plain and simple. The best skis are those on the water. So let's keep this post moving in a positive direction.

Todd....no 11 is not my husband. PLEASE!! LOL!! Where'd you come up with that idea.... funny one! hehe! Smile

Ok.... back to the subject!

Sometimes this General Topics Forum reminds me of the Jerry Springer show, but I will throw out something for everybody to think about. Rumor has it that Kawi is coming out with a 2&1/2 seater stxr version this coming year. rp
