I'm certainly not defending Sea-Doo in any way, I love my GPR (except for those f(*&ing powervalves). However, if the 4-tec is close to 60 w/155hp, another 30 ought to make it one of the fastest out there. And the engine is twice the size of the new Polaris MSX. The 4-Tec just might become an endurance racer's dream. But the question is, will there ever be an IJSBA class that allows 1500 cc. I guess only time will tell. But credit is due where credit is due. Sea-Doo is the first to produce a 185hp machine out of the box. To me, that is pretty impressive.

At 800 pounds, it does ride well in the chop. My friend that has an 02, runs about 56-57MPH on GPS (which has been known to be 1.5 MPH slow) in the Texas heat. So I would guess the Supercharged version would do like 61-62MPH? That's like a stock STXR, but with probably a softer ride in the rough. Might be nice.

I think you're under estimating the potential top speed Jarrett, there are XLLs doing mid sixties with about the same or maybe a little less power, I have a feeling the 4tec "compressor" might do the mid 60s out of the box, don't forget it has a 10 vane pump OEM so the hookup must be pretty darn good for a stock boat. More hookup=more consistent thrust= higher overall average and sustained speeds.
