Anyone else out there every had one heck of a time getting a PTO coupler off? Would like to hear some stories of what finally worked. I've done everything but hook the darn thing up to Bill Clinton and yell "intern !". Nothing's worked thus far. Of course I don't have any special tools to work with. Just a crowbar.

I put the one end of the center journal of the crank on a vise sitting on a towelfacing me. It basically balances itseld in that position. the I use the coupler tool which requires a 1/2 inch wrench and I use a cheater pipe and turn it counterclockwise to loosen it up. You may want to heat it up first.
