My new toy. Waiting for it to arrive. It was the best P-PC that I could find with a wifi/bluetooth AND a CF slot. I needed the CF slot for my Nikon D70 memory cards.

THEY say the battery last for a long time...as long as you are not using wireless or bluetooth. I don't have any real numbers yet.

I havent seen the FP ignition software. Does it run in Palm software or WinCE?

The Asus is Win based.

http://www.factorypipe.com/fire/

So, the factoryfire is palm based. I'd imagine any palm based pda could be made to work. Sony (who's getting out of pda market), Palm, Handspring and a few others, make nice units. I dig that new Palm Tungsten.

It's too bad, that this whole concept hasn't been followed through with diff engine packages, and applications.

Cool toy! Been thinking about getting something similar. Let us know how it performs if you have time.

So far, so good.
The wireless networking works better than my laptop. The programs are rather limited, however. You kind of need to know what you are going to use it for before buying one.

-The Riva Forum does not work on WinCE2003, unless someone knows how to tell me to configure it.
-Surfing is annoying, because you are always scrolling the windoz back and forth.
-The CF card works like a champ. I've moved bunches of pics around off my camera. I'm still working on the FTP upload for the webpage, however.
-The connectivity to outlook is a nice feature, and saves me tons of time.
-I've started using it now for my procedures.
-Cant wait to try the pda function.

Hmmm.... Maybe InfoPop could be of some help. I'll try posting to their tech support and see what comes back.

What procedures are you referring to; if you don't mind my asking? Just curious for the sake of knowing what functions/tasks it will perform.

I can actually pull up, read, and post on the pwctoday forums, as well as the polaris forum. However, I get some squirly error when I try the riva forum.

Okay, if I log on, all it says is.... blah, blah, blah, I'm a dirty... wait a tick. That's not it.

It ACTUALLY says...
