I was wondering, are the stand ups fast? How are the handling compared to sit downs? Which do you think is funner to ride?

I think that that is something you should decide yourself.
I have been riding both for years.
Both kinds have their own kind of fun.
Both skis can get you hurt.
Lots of things to consider.
Stand ups are great but they can wear you out on long rides.
Sit downs are easier to handle.
Think of all the riding that you will be doing and choose which one you will most enjoy.
I finally settled on a 01 GPR1200. I love it.
