Nothing runs 70 out of the crate. Fastest production boat is the seadoo rxx.

I'd like to see some numbers on the Aquajet. I would never get one, but at 150hp and only 395 pounds, it's got to fly. Website says speedometer only goes up to 60 though?

I raced a new SeeDoo a couple of weeks ago, and it was fast. It made me work to pull him.
I do not remember what it was. It was a 2 seat and I think it might have had a reverse lever.
We kept hitting boat wakes and this thing would would almost close on me through the rough water.

On smooth water a 2000 / 2001 SLX is as fast or faster than anything (64-65 true speed). In rough water it is an entirely different story though. I've got a modified one that runs 68-69 but in rough water a stock RX-DI will give me about all I can handle (59-60 true mph). On glass it's almost untouchable though. It's definately not an all conditions speeder

Very cool concept!....this was on their site

The Special Edition WX-1 1250R utilizes AquajetÕs own 1250cc, three-cylinder, 165hp high performance engine and has a top speed capability of 65+ mph.

looks like a ton of fun to ride on of those things....

The first production run 99 Ultra (about the first 100) were running in the 67 - 68 MPH range according to GROUPK '99 ULTRA TESTING and the rest of the 99's were in the 65 - 66 range. This seems high as all the "other" 99's I've GPS's including my own were in the 64 - 65 range.
So this leaves that limited production Ultra and the RXX.

And I've NEVER seen any published results of a Polaris going any faster than 61 - 62
GROUPK SLX TESTING (this was 98/99 models, but show me some published results on the 2000/2001)

Current models are the Ultra and GPR....both very fast boats...

If you can't contribute something positive,
go somewhere else.
you will be banished by riva if you keep this up.

IMO the Ultra is the fastest stock ski. If you want to go fast without turning a wrench the ultra is the way to go. If you like to do a few modifications go with the GPR, you will have a better ski in the end.
The RXX may be faster but I heard Sea-Doo recomends a total rebuild every 40hrs??? Definatly not a recreational ski.

RIVA please do somthing about Charlie Patrick.

Chris'GPR is right. It is the 99 Ultra 150. After 99 the coast guard made some ban on jetskis so no production one can do over 65. Kawasaki slowed it down a bit.

Fast in what respect?

If you want all around speed , the 96XP still continues to win races even today.

Sorry but that is not accurate. Technically the fastest "production" ski made is the seadoo rxx. Whether or not it is a "stock" ski may be arguable but technically it is stock and it is the fastest out of a crate to this date.

Please only list performance parts currently on your ski, not dreams on what you hope to have in the future.

Thank You. Big Grin

Just how fast is the RXX Sea Doo out of the box? Where was it reported? I get most of the mags and I must have missed the article on it.
Just curious.

For LSU:

The 99 SLX had Polaris 1050cc engine where the 2000-2001 were bumped up the the 1200 cc engine (a conservative 15 hp gain in the same hull-what does an additional 15 hp do for the GPR?). On flat glass (which is why this is not a good all conditions boat) the SLX will run a consistent 63-65 out of the box. As far as published results, this is a sticking point because there is nothing published on the ski(s) period. You should see the lenghts I have gone to to try and discover what works in the aftermarket department on these skis (I've had to take the "even a blind hog finds an acorn..." approach) The only info I have to back up these #'s are radar runs on three seperate SLX's (2 2000's and 1 2001). But I think most people on this site who own a GPR that have had the opportunity to race one (the SLX's are few and far in between) will probably back up my claim.
