I got word from Havasu that Rius Racing has a few surprises in store for the World Championships. Looks like the "Great Blue Hope" is sporting a triple outlet equipped GPR so I guess Lillian finished working on his pipe mods for the triple. Reports from eye winesses published at www.PWCToday.com, suggeest during Body Beach practices Rius and Mac have been neck and neck and promise a very close fight between the biggest rivals and arguably the best riders in the world.
Now I'm more sorry than ever to not be able to make my anual pilgrimage to Havasu. Good luck Nicolas, we know you can do it!

Well, not that I'm a fan of Rius, but if they worked hard on the GPR with the money they saved from the tour, they could give Kawi some hard time. Especially on a lake, since the GPR has an advantage on flat water. 11

What? the rest of the lappers? No disrespect to Avery, but he isn't at the level of the top pros, sorry. It will come down to Mac, Motz, Rius and Farthing. I think Mac will win, he is hungry because he lost the Nationals to Motz (a scary thought) and you can bet Kawi would love to have both skis wearing #1 plates next year. I am sure Rius will be fast, but he has been out for a while and it is one guy vs. a Team./ farthing might be the best rider out there, but his skis are never on the pace unfortunetly. Throw in the fact that Kawi owns the IJSBA and you won't see any huge straight aways, I don't see a Yamaha winning this weekend. But, who knows, anything can happens, remember Bossio!!!
Don't discount Bossio either, he was working at a feverish pace this week on his boat. Acording to first hand accounts, Rius is in as good a form as ever, so let's not discountr him against the "team" or the owners of the IJSBA.
