The last 5 or 6 had more than their MSRPs in mods, why do you want to make us think about that?

biatch. "oh, maybe couple hundreds bucks, honey"

she says i've contracted a new jetski disease..ebayola.

My cost of ownership per hour of use is not up for discussion. Let's change the topic.

On the other hand, sounds like i'm not the only fanatic.

roughly about 5000-6000 in mod
Plus 2 GPR $13K

I cant count how much money I put on my doos....probably about the same as my GPR, but instead of mod, the money went to rebuild and fixing stuff that always break...
and they said 800 motor suppose to be bullet proof
The only reason I still have it, for jumping wave, but now Im leaning toward stand up Smile

I would consider adoption Mario. BUT... The wife is still considering the 'natural' route to more kids,
I Hate red.
You keep typing Spanish. Makes me think you could actually have a different language in you. I don't want to learn another language to be sure when my son is telling me to kiss his a$$.
Worth thinking about though.... Does Fercho come with the deal??
And what happened to GPRRACER??

Sometimes it's a little saddening to think that for the money I've spent I could almost have a 75mph triple piped ski instead of a ski that just does upper 60's...

but then I pull myself out of this deep depression by remembering all the faces of Yamaha/Kawasaki/Sea Doo owners who have stared in disbelief as I pass them on a POLARIS!!!! (that'l teach them about taking a ski lightly just because the mainstream doesn't consider it fast)

makes it somehow seem moderately worth it.

I saw a guy at the 1/4 mile track one time in a Pinto smoke a Viper. I respect that guy...

Anyone want to feel our pain here in Australia.

GPR and XLT1200 are around 16-17K

STXR arround 18-19K

Supercharged SeaDoo 22-25K

All parts and mods are roughly TWICE than what they are in USA due to our ever strong AUD$.

Solas prop - $500- just for starters.

Dollar value per hour used is ....... waht I dont need to think about.

Would I stop doing it and do I regret.... no & no.

Time for a ride.

Just out of curiosity Leroy, are you speaking Australian currency or it's equivalent in US dollars, if Australian, what is the conversion rate?

1999 Sea-Doo XPL........$12,000 after mods.....SOLD Never was happy with that thing.

2001 GPR...........$16,000 after mods.....Pretty scarey ride clear up to 76 mph.

1988 Kawasaki sx650 stand-up.........$200 at a garage sale........Not For Sale........cheapest fun I have ever bought. I'm totally serious on the price I paid for it. New plugs, battery and gas......fired right up....hasn't quit yet 3 years of abuse later.

Mario,

All figures are in AUD. Current conversion rate is approx .58 , That means that one Aussie dollar equates to fifty eight cents US. Awesome conversion for anyone who wants to holiday here in the land Down Under, not to mail order parts.

Our dollar has only really surged recently, up until about two months ago conversion rate was around .52 - .53 , ...... not good!.

Many years ago I used to race BMX and Downhill mountain bikes and used to source most parts from the USA, due to availability and pricing. However this was when conversion rate was around .83 , things were affordable then.

While its still costly, I would not stop doing it, its and awesome sport.

Cheers.

Well then, if you are refering to AUD, then your prices are not that much higher than ours, considering you are paying transport and import duty, the boats are being built here, therefore the prices are accordingly cheaper. I don't know what your VAT is if you have, but we still have to pay 8.5% above our retail in order to register the craft and Cali has a luxury tax I understand. Yes, you have it bad, but it's not quite that exuberant, I think in Europe they have it worse.
