It looks like we are are the only dumb asses to ride in the filth of the Delaware River. (near Phila.)

How about those tug boat wakes? Eek

Or the evasive manuevering needed to dodge all the floating debris? Wink

We ride on the Schuylkill river above the Flat Rock Dam. We have about a 5 to 6 mile run up river to the Norristown dam. Usually very clean but this year has been rough because of all the rain plus we started racing this year. Several times a year we put in on the Delawware and ride up the Schuylkill to the Art Museum.

Ahh. Sounds like home. I would ride with you guys but I don't live in Philly anymore. I moved to Florida . I miss home can't get a good hogie or cheese-steak down here but I got a few more months b-4 the ski goes away. Then its only brief and its hot and time to hit the water again.

I know that this is a little out of your area, but I ride at the Jersey shore, mostly the mullica river.I know the mullica,Bass and wading rivers very well and have found some cool spots due to the ski being able to go just about anywhere.I would like to do a few Philly trips on the deleware, and Schuylkill rivers. We will have to hook up some time, although its looking like the cold fronts we be sticking around.... I hear ya about the cruise ship wakes.I went on an Alaskan Cruise about a month ago and was practicly drooling off the back of the boat looking at those waves.I even got to see a center console boat get swamped because he was not paying attention and hit a big one.... Big Grin

Thanks for letting me whip the crap out of your wife's XLT 800.

I think there are spider cracks forming on that poor thing. Kinda makes me want to buy an XLT 1200 since the XLTs seem to land like they have shocks.

We gotta go out this Sat. too. Any other takers?

We are still riding on the Schuykill for the next 2 or 3 weeks. Gotta get used to the new ski! Water is in the 60's and very clear, great after all of the rain we had all summer long.
