Has anyone heard anything about Lake Pyramid? I heard that it is closed, and i have tried calling, to no avail. Any thoughts on other lakes in SoCal that are worth the drive - not Castaic!

arsheep.. You can try Buena Vista lake off the 5 fwy but is further north of Pyramid.. It's about a 20 minute drive north on the 5 from the bottom of the grapevine.. The lake is okay,, Alittle small but one thing I liked about it is that you could park your car right next to where you beach it at.. Other then that it's Puddingstone or Perris lake (in Riverside).. I also would like to know if Pyramid is open yet.. I'm off this Tues and wanna go skiing..

hey pspcguy,
whats up with puddingstone? how big is it? are there any size/speed restrictions? I have a waverunner and an exciter(jetboat). is there a fee (how much)?

Sorry about all the questions but I'm new to the area and would like all the info I can get on local back waters.

Thanks

Mr Williams.. Sorry this took me so long to post back but I don't ususally get onto this part of the form.. Anyways to answer your question Puddingstone is kinda small.. It is also joked apond as Puddlestone cause of it's size.. For me I like it cause it's close.. Speed restrictions I know of none.. There is an odd even day restriction for Jet skis in which jet skis can only ride on odd numbered days (ie 1 3 11 15 ) Fee are 6 for the car and 6 for the boat.. As of what I see in the post that you are not to far away from the lake.. Should be about a 30 minute or less drive.. Any other questions just post..
