Well I have done a few, but I am not in the US so can't really give you specific info. I recently changed the axle on my double trailer, GPR and SJ. Ther old owner of the trailer had decreased the width of the trailer and hance modified the axle that was on it. They had cut the axle and slid it into some RHS, which is fine but you can't gaurantee the axle is straigth and square. So I replaced it with a SOLID length axle, 40mm square. There is a company here which makes these axles in various lengths so I found a distributor near me and had them order. I suspect it will be the same near you. Find a trailer or caravan place, they are bound to have a supplier who does axles in various lengths. Make sure the axle is solid and is all the one piece, ie not axle stubs welded onto the end of some square section. You shouldn't have any problems finding one.
---------------------- Never argue with an idiot! They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
