Thank you very much. I did get a blip of 76.2, but GPS showed 75.2. I GPS'd on the way back with my buddy on the back...72.7(both sitting up right). This thing is screaming. I did find that one of my couplers has a rub-out (leaking water and exhaust)...I knew it was going to happen. That is where my 100rpm loss went at the end of the day. I could see this ski breaking 76. HHHMMMMMM what about a 1300 conver or better, what about a complete 87mm? John 99 XL1200R 76.2 mph(radar) @ 7800+ rpms Click Here for: My Setup

Started the day and pulled a 74.0 (a little over half a tank) racing BDNJ's Stage II RXP and another stage II RXP. BDNJ passed me and had me by about (8) boats @ end of the 2-mile run. I had about about (2) boats on the other RXP (forgot his name). Then Dan let me use his "Angle Mod" and I picked up a little over half a MPH (from my plate with skeg removal). By the end of the day (less than 1/4 tank), I hit 75.6 on the gun. Wish I was out early AM. Two Things: 1)My ski kept bumping the rev limiter - 7800rpms. Took the boat out and re-tweaked the prop. Put her back in and picked up half mph and hit the rev limiter again (but took longer this time). I am going to bring up the pitch again and try to get my RPM's down to about 7700. That should be about another MPH...wish i had more time. 2) When I raced the two RXP's, we raced for about 2 miles. (Couldn't beleive the ski held up at WOT for that long). I did notice a 100rpm drop due to heat soak. I am going back to the stock FP water routing. John 99 XL1200R 76.2 mph(radar) @ 7800+ rpms Click Here for: My Setup

Just a little info the weather was in low to mid 80s and lite wind. It wasnt as humid as the mudbug, but it wasnt as cool as people though it is. My ski runs fine all day, it run 76.7 on dan's radar, not bad for full race trim. I bet if I can put mod plate, 800 grate instead of single bar, plug all the hole, sand the hull and get rid of exteded tabs it will be close to 80 Dan's has the fastest single pipe ski I ever see its very impressive. Also that XL is one mean SOB. Not to forget some impressive RXP's out there.
