Check out ebay. I bought a brand new Garmin 72 off there for $115 plus shipping. I think new they sold around $150. It's a lot better than the base garmin they sell. This one has a moving map, tide charts, and a lot more. I recommend it.

87mm pump nozzle

Are there any online shops selling the Garmin GPS72 in the US?
The cheapest price I can get in Australia is $341 which is equal to $246 USD! So even if I paid for express delivery by Airforce 1 it would still be cheaper in the US.

Never argue with an idiot! They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

these units all have a problem that is caused by the battery connections vibrating with use which causes intermittent shut-offs, one way to fix this is a dab of silicone on the battery cover which then prevents the battery from vibrating, search in the archive file for a more detailed discussion

I have the cheap etrex unit and with this mod it works fine - they sell a handlebar mount which you can use if you remove the plastic cover that goes over the handlebars - there have been other creative mounting devices discussed in the past, again try doing a search in the archives

Phillip- I've never had any problem with my Garmin 72 shutting off. I fit mine in my glovebox of the 1300 between the open lid and the bottom lip of the glovebox. It fits perfectly and stays mounted there even when i hit moderate chop. I just put my lanyard through the wrist strap of the GPS just in case it does get loose it wont' go anywhere.

Troy- Not a bad deal Lakeraider is offering! I'd definitely get a 72 over an E trex. It has a lot more features, not to mention a much bigger screen. Compare the two on Garmin's website.
