JD1 (Dan's)RXP beat Kerry's GPR in what I think was a 1/4 mile. I was told Kerry probably has more top end but in the 1/4 Dan beat him. LawRacing lost a cylinder on his RXP, he thinks and is down for now.

No, i dont know of any that blew up. Lawracing ate a rod bearing at around 4 pm this afternoon. I saw quite a few GPR's being towed in as well as one with a burnt piston. Luckily the guy got it rebuilt last night and was out on the water today.

That's awesome! Eek Hopefully someone from a magazine or other reputable news source was there to document it. It would be a shame to see such an achievement not documented properly.

It does not matter to most if a magazine or news crew was there or not. Even if he does not "technically" own the record because it will not be properly documented, he has the record. Congrats Kerry!

RX951 - Billy researched before hand what it would take to file for the Guiness record, he has all the proper forms and knows all the required data needed. Billy went to MB prep'd for a new record to be filed.

That's perfect. Take what I post and twist it around so it looks like Evil RIVA's at it again....

I wasn't knocking anyone. I was being sincere. I know firsthand the amount of work and effort that goes into buidling a craft like that and I know exacly what it takes for Guiness to accept it as a "World Record". We did it and it damn sure wasn't easy.

Dan, come on give RC a break.. RC knows no one from Riva needs to be there for a good source, or conformation.
He was only stating Kerry needs to make sure it gets noticed and documented.
Looks like Billy is doing the leg work on that part.

I was in Galveston hanging out with the TOPS (Texas Offshore Powerboat S???) about 40 boats showed up for a Poker run and they are all FREAKIN fast!! All in all it was a great day.
