Alright guys, I'm looking for your advice.
What is the diff between 04 & 05 1300r?
I can pick up a new 04 for about $8k or buy a new 05 RXP for $9700 or a used 04 RXP for $7600.

My previous ski was a stage II 02 GP1200R.

3 different ski's just try to ride them all before you buy them. the RXP is nice, but I think the seat is to narrow and it sits to high out of the water. and it looks like the 05 is getting better speed than the 04s

Not bad prices. I understand the GP1300 05 has a better pump, 170HP and better power valves. Where are you getting these prices? I heard of a place in Mississippi where you can get good prices on a new ski. I just looked at a new RXP for 11400. Mike

I agree, ride them all and decide for yourself. I find the GPR seat too wide and I don't like the sluggish holeshot. As you can see, you will get conflicting opinions from different people.

The 05 has 170hp ...and is much improved top end over the 04. It also does not have those POS povervalves and in stock form can outrun the 05 Rxps stock/stock if you get a good 1300. My roomate has an 05 rxp....I have an 05 1300 and stock mine was almost 1mph faster then his....both empty and full fuel. We got our skis from Riva....

05 1300 was 8970 OTD
05 Rxp was 10,400 OTD

Both with no trailers

I've owned two GPRs and now have a 73 MPH RXP and love it. Thinking about buying a 2nd RXP right now if that helps show where my vote is Smile

The 05 1300 in stock form has 170hp not 175. The Riva Race Edition has 175hp. Purchased my 04 last year for $7800. If you want an 04 look at LakehillMotors.com they have them for $7200 plus tax. Use the money you saved for parts, that's what I did. Good luck! Big Grin

The best deal is to get a 1200 GPR and move up to 84mm pistons. You dont have to deal with the EFI, Aftermarket CDI, carbs, and valves are available, not to mention tht it has a stronger hull also.
