It is a boat that Joe's Crap Shack runs in the Galveston Bay. It looks like a 50 ft. Scarab shaped boat with about 20 feet in width. It has a wild paint job and the bow is painted with teeth. It also has big ballasts in the back to make the biggest possible wave. So needless to say, besides an oil tanker, it produces about the best wave I've seen to jump. Fullboogie and I call it Shark Nose which is based on this little thing with teeth (an actual rubber shark nose) that we used to put on my father's dog.

We used to got to Texas City Dike (on the beach side) and wait for the tankers to go thru the channel next to it.
Once the ship has passed and hits the deep channel next to the shallower beach, the waves come straight up from the bottom. Almost as if from no where.
They are perfectly shaped 8 foot waves, without crests. They run about six in single file and they last for about 10-15 minutes till the ship goes to deeper water.

Pretty awesome.

Watch out for the Shark Nose - it will kick your a$$ at least once. It's gotten everybody - me, cajundude, coop.
