Were going to try this again. We will be starting out on The Little Niangua arm and heading to Bagnell D@m first, then up to Truman D@m. Round trip is just over 200 miles. There is 93 octane available on the lower end of the lake and 91 octane all the way up to Truman. Anyone else that is interested shoot me an e-mail lakeboygpr@earthlink.net

The trip will take all day and we will start out around 8:00 am. I pre-mix also, not a problem, bring oil and a ratio rite. Usually when I refill, I put in 10 gallons. There are enough stops on the way so you wont run out of gas. Last time we did it, it took 5 tanks. we left at 9:00 am and returned at 6:00 pm, with breakfast and lunch stops. Its a workout, but well worth it. We will probably have the wives man the phone and trailers in case someone breaks down and needs picked up.

The run has been moved to Saturday Sept 17, one week sooner than originally planned.

Here is a link to a pdf map
Ozark Lakemap
We plan to start out on the water at around 8:00 am 11 miles off the main channel on the Niangua Arm (31 mm)and head to Bagnel *** first.

Rat, If you are interested in hooking up with the group, e-mail me a phone number and I will call you when we leave the dock and you can watch for us, unless you are further up the lake, then you would have to head down lake to meet up with us.

River rat, Looking at your screen name and seeing your in st. louis, where do you ride? Im sure we have crossed paths a time or two. I do most of my riding in the alton pool of the mississippi, normally all the way from winfield lock and *** down to just past grafton. Among many other places.

Cool! last weekend I went in this shallow slough that connects The IL river and the Mississippi right before they meet. There were several boats in there and half the women were topless. Needless to say I spent some time there. Eek
Also spent alot of time just below the power lines on the beach just above the ski shoot.
I will keep an eye out for you guys, but this weekend Im going to run up to Hannible and ride up there. Wife wants to get away for a while so obviously I had to choose a place I can ride as well. Wink

I normally play around a while then either go to sharkys or kinders for eats and a drink or 2 or 4. I havent seen many 05s on the water so I might be fairly easy to spot. I always wear a grey and black Yamaha life jacket.

Also any of you local guys try the jetworks mod yet? Im thinking about doing it, but if I could see one done it would be much easier since most of the pics are gone from the forum.

Ozark, how choppy is the water up there in september? I know it will depend on where you are but on average?

There will be several stock ski's. Ill be riding my XLT on the big end of the lake and picking up my GPR on the way up at the 66mm.

Ive rode at the Alton Pool and stopped at the sandbar also. I knew the sandbar was the place to be when I looked at the boat next to me to see a topless girl doing a beer bong. My CDI melted on me that day and I had to have a drunk guy in a Baja tow me back to a ramp in St. Charles (no choice, he was the last boat there)

The water will be real choppy from Hurricane Deck to Bagnell, but from Hurricane Deck to Truman will be nice, thats why we are going to Bagnell first, its not as bad in the mornings. Last time we did it, my buddy rode his XPL, so you should do fine. 91 octane is available all the way up and I have the stops in my GPS.

Its a big lake, the more the better. 3 of us own triple pipers and they are not going to run. Im only going to ride mine from the 66 mile marker to Truman and back ( 50 miles round trip ), none of us want to run them the whole way. 200 miles is a long way for the reliability of triples, in one day.
