the side where the ramps are is much better i think there was alot of skis out there and the water was still good i got to GPS for the first time that day after all the mods i did

The biggest problem with Sommerville is the chop. Mid afternoon is the worst because of all the boats.

SOME PEOPLE JUST DONT HAVE WHAT IT TAKES!!!!!!!

We understand!!!

Ever been out to Somerville during the week? Can be smooth as glass in sections. I like taking off Friday afternnons and heading out.

For the record - from the West side of Houston it's only 1 1/2 hours and you are on the water. Considering there is no 1 hour salt water clean-up on the backend - it's a lot shorter event for me than Clear Lake or San Bernard.

Having said all that - I have been there times when the chop was so bad it was miserable. Don't base your opinion on one or two bad trips (or a weekend like next - Memorial weekend) - it can be a very nice lake. Try it on nice (not too windy) weekday.

What's deal about rattlesnakes!!! Ever seen one there?

Damm Jay, I think you must be stopping of to many times on the way up there to polish those tripple pipes Big Grin
I am there in 1 hour flat. And Absolutly its a plus on not having to clean the *** ski's for 1-2 hours, I much rather have 1-2 hours extra arse time(if it even took me 2 hours) than spend 1-2 hours busting my ass in the hot texas sun. Yes it takes me 1-2 hours, some of you guys only got 1 ski, plus last time I went to Clear lake that nasty arse water got into my trailor box and the entire contents reeked like some funky arse feet. I had to clean everything in that box, even my vest stunk. Plus if I want to hang around a while longer and knock back a few cold ones with the Bro's I dont have to worry about getting home early enough to not keep the neighbors while I flush.

Yea, yea, yea, this is coming from Nando who only rides in rivers and smooth testing grounds because he don't want to come out with the big boys to jump the waves. Big Grin vs. me who only rides in chop (Galveston Bay, Clear Lake and Galveston) 2 days a week almost every week. I can handle the chop as good as anyone else. Now as far as driving 2 hours for more chop, no thanks. Maybe Fullboogie and I were just at the wrong part of Sommerville. I'll give it one more shot.

BTW Fernando, thanks again for that fitting!

More tuning - another San Bernard river day on Saturday. Take 59 to 36 to past West Columbia & Barzoria. Turn right at the Prison - first bridge you come to is the San Bernard. We will be close. Hopefully parked right up front!
