Because of the need to tow a travel trailer and bring two PWC with me at the same time, I ended up buying a used Jettrax set up (see Jettrax.com ...pretty cool). My question is should I connect the strap that pulls the ski up the bunks and therefor onto the truck to the same spot we use to winch to the jet ski trailer, or should I put it to the bow eye. The reason I ask is because my ski is a XLT1200 (read heavy) and I don't want to break anything. The strap that pulls the ski up is rated at 6000lbs, and the winch is rated at 2500, so the ski would break first. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.

I would still use the bow eye. Seems it would be more secure.

I have to agree with you, but also think that the lower attatch would work better from a leverage standpoint since it would be lifting and pulling at the same time. I think I'll start with the bow eye and go from there. Is there anyone that has used one of these lifts? Also, any ideas as to how to attach a hook to the bow eye? The hook won't fit around it, so I'd have to come up with some sort of strap to use.
