thinking of buying a jetboat next year ,i've been on a cuple of sites "sugarsands" and "yami exciter"kinda look good, and i've noted that some have 2 engines .anyone have any pro's or con's about 'em? i'm not sure about the 2 engines might be double trouble haha! a friend said go with a merc head v6 single.another said why do i want to push a heavy boat with a pwc engine? i just thought a boat with no prop might be fun and allow me to travel in shallower water(not taking on sand i hope) i'd like a small 3-4 seater, hopefully on the trailer it would still fit in my garage. my double ski trailer just makes it with 2 feet to spare.i'm more worried about reliability than anything.

We carry Yamaha and Sea-Doo sport boats. Here's a link: click here! You can get all the specs for each model and even compare them against each other.

You're not to far north of us. Come on by! We demo the units. We're even open on Sundays (no demo's on Sundays) until X-mas.

I have a 99 Exciter 270 and love it. It is the perfect size for four people although it seats five. At 17ft it goes in my guarage at a little of an angle but my guarage is small. You can boat in shallow water up to 3ft, after that it sucks up sand and rocks probally the same as a ski. As for two motors they are cheaper to replace and there is an abundance of aftermarket parts for them. I took my boat out with one motor when one was being repaired. You cant do that with a one motor boat. The exciter is one of the fastest boats in this class. The only race I lost was to a SS240 but that was with 0 compression in #3 cylinder on one of my motors And he barley pulled me. There are alout of nice jet boats you just should find the one that you like.
