I would like to see Rius win Pro 1200SS, but I think it will be either Mac or Farthing in 1200SS because of their super fast STXR's and Mac in SkiSS.

Kenny Ritchie is to be feared!!!

If you guys get a chance, stop by Kenny's trailer, and give him a handshake. He's a great kid, with a quick GP12R. He goes largely unnoticed in the world of large personalities, with a mostly self funded race team.

I couldnt agree more......Rius is the only Rider/team to give Team Kawi a serious run for their money and he has stuck by Yamaha's side the whole time, he deserves it.

I thought about that way as well first , BUT that can actually have a negetive effect on racing, in that no one can beat them. I think it's more fun and entertaining with all private racers who show up and race.........It's no fun when you Know for sure that the multi million dollar team will win every race and finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd.....EVERYTIME! I dont think it would be that bad if team kawi dropped out and the grass roots racing started back up like the old days. Not everyone can show up at the race course with an 18 wheeler and a crew of 20 along with millions of $$$ in secret technolagy in their watercrafts.
Bottom line.....Either All the Manufacturers have a race team...or none have it......we all go back to private racers like me on others on this board.....that will creat more excitment and interest and attract more racers who might actually feel like they have a shot of winning!! Smile

STXR-acer ...my thoughts all the way...My budy raced pro for a few years Making it to the main at the WF's all times...this year being the first we didnt go....Manily because there is not one bit of hope that he will even make it to the top 10....He's a very good rider Placing 8th one year and 11th then 14th all in 1200 s/s...but why keep waisting money....plus all the time and effert we all put in for what...to have team green win again..and get all the spot light. It's just no fun anymore... .

I love the sport and the riders but the privateer RIUS!!!! needs it more....This could be his last year....from what was said at the Moto surf...but it could have just been talk..

GO RIUS.......!! Where's that 2000 boat ...Wink

This is from Green Guys Racing.

Multi-time world and national champion MacClugage, of Fullerton, Calif., will hit the water on his high-performance JET SKI® 1200 STX-R® watercraft to defend his Pro Runabout 1200 world title. MacClugage, known as the “Mac Attack” for his aggressive riding style, recently completed a successful run in the 2003 IJSBA Motosurf Nationals, garnering a Pro Ski national title. The world-renowned racer now boasts 12 national championships and seven world championships, and is ranked second on the IJSBA
all-time win list.

“I’ve been training hard for this year’s World Finals,” said MacClugage. “My goal is to win world titles in both the Pro Runabout 1200 and Pro Ski classes. I’m looking forward to racing against some of the most talented athletes in the world, including my teammate Dustin Motzouris.”

Well rumors of disqualification backfired and as of today I heard the 1,2,3 placing Yamaha's in Expert 1200 s/s were disqualified which places 1,2,3 Kawasakis, This is yet unconfirmed, but I was told by a source that was at the tech tent as the boats were being inspected by Mr Bower (this is my assumption) post race. We'll confirm that tomorrow as official results are posted. Seems like official politics are still in effect favoring one team. We'll see if the Pro class rumors are true tomorrow or if they were a smoke screen.

Well the IjSBA results are posted on their site..and it shows YAMAHA 1,2,3...the S word 4th, and KAWASAKI 4,5th, Yamaha 6th.

Whats the deal with Pro-Am R/A 1200 S/S?

Much less riders in that class....and Gimmi Bosio came in 15th!!? Jay Edsworthy from Canada came in 2nd.
Is'nt this a higher class than expert? I thought there would be more riders in it.
