Just wanted to take a few minutes and thank all forum members that helped get my GPR back up and running various times throughout the WFs.

GPRINSANEDIGO (Joe) busted his azz all week from fixing my intake grate, triple pipe couplers, exhaust leaks, holes in the bottom of the hull and last but not least a water ingested seized #2 piston and scared head. Even though the results didn't show, I think we learned more in one week than we did in the whole year of testing. Hopefully we will be able to take the information learned and apply it to Mark Hahn 300 in December and get the trophy we should have gotten last year.

H204YOU (Steve) it was great meeting and hanging out with you all week. Sorry to put a damper on your 50th birthday party, but what better way to celebrate by rebuilding a GPR. Smile

Yamahauler119 (Gary) Congratulations on your World Title. I appreciate all the information along with the intake grate you provided during the week.

QuickMick: Thanks for the help in the rebuild.

Mr. Hydrotoys (Mark) Thanks for the use of the pump shoe and intake grate during the Super Course time trials plus all of your insightful information.

A couple of lessons learned through out the week that hopefully will help others:
1. Don't add triples a week and a half away from the WFs if your single pipe ski is running good.
2. Always take extras of everything. Luckily we had a piston, head and base gasket and fixed a blown piston in about three hours.
3. Become good friends with people on this board, in times of need the will defiantly help you out.

I hope my birthday wish comes true at the Memorial race for Mark, that would make it even sweeter! Wink Cool

That blender was flat out WRONG... on many levels.

Just did a compression check on the old GPR...

I ended up not racing the super course. After all of my good fortune throughout the week, I figured it was best to keep the ski on the trailer and spectate. I'll probably spend the next couple of weekends fixing everything and getting it ready for the Mark Hahn Memorial in December. If you have some free time the first weekend of December, I'm still looking for a partner if you are interested. It was great hanging out with you, your dad and Matt throughout the week. Maybe next year we'll do the same in Nashville.
