Well not being the king of organization, I can start to look for a good place for us. I work in IT so most of my time is spent in front of a computer anyway. =)
I'll start looking in earnest next week and at the very least will find us some choices.

Well, seems this might be a plan for next year... summer is dying down now. Even if a spot and time are figured out, appears I'm out now anyhow. Gotta file an insurance claim, and most likely will be ski shopping again. Aint life a *****!?!?

I let a friends lil cousin take it for a ride while I helped him adjust his ski pylon for his boat. Asked her specifically if she had her Boaters Safety Certification, she said yes, so I said go ahead. Girlfriend got off the ski and sat on the boats swim platform... next thing I know she runs into the back of the boat, hits the platform! I heard her kill the engine, but had my back to her, apparantly she either waited too long or killed it too soon and didnt have it turned. Either way, she busted out the lip right at the bow eye where the 2 halves seal. Bout 3" piece of the lip is gone and there is a crack that runs about 8-10" along the hull side of the rail. I rode it yesterday and had water clean up to the bottom of my carbs in a matter of about a mile or so. Barely made it back to dock! Gonna turn it in to the insurance company now, but with both the upper and lower hulls having damage, I foresee it being totaled. My luck sucks... Roll Eyes There aren't any boat repair shops local here to even have them look at it and give me an idea. Oh well, learned my lesson!

Uggh, that sucks. Only saving grace is the potential for a newer replacement toy.

Lake Wallenpaupack
Water skiing is prohibited on weekends and holidays at the western end of the lake between a line about 200 yards east of Cairn’s Island, as marked by buoys, and the Ledgedale Recreation Area.

Boats are limited to slow, minimum height swell speed in the following areas:
- On Wallenpaupack Creek
- From the Ledgedale Bridge to a point approximately 1,000 feet downstream
- From the *** to a point approximately 600 feet south
- Between Cairn’s Island and the Pike County shore line.
Now the important part!
Boats are limited to 45 miles per hour from sunrise to sunset on weekends and holidays from the Saturday before Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Boats are limited to 25 miles per hour between sunset and sunrise.

Let's try and have a get together on the beach at Wildwood sometime in Sept. Crowds are gone and I bet we could get the city to let use drive and launch from the beach. Just a thought!?!

I'm hoping this will go through without any major issues. I have the ski insured at $3,500, so if they do total it, taking the $100 deductible off would give me $3,400 towards another ski. I know I can't get anything great for that, but if I can manage to save up some more money over the winter, I might be able to get something decent. Also gonna take off the F/A's, prop, and anything else I still have the stock parts to put back on! Big Grin

If you need some one to organize this event, i can hook it up for us. Most of you have probably not heard of Elkton Maryland, but it offers some great riding and attractions. They host a Supercourse here every year. We would have access to the Elk river (walshes dockside resturant), Bohemia, Sassafras , C&D canal (awesome waterfront bars), North east river (nauti goose saloon) etc. I have a Lots of parking at my house (12 acres worth) , and a marina with a nice ramp / Resturaunt-Bar right across the street.

I can get us hooked up with lodging rates and accomodations for the weekend if you guys are interested.

Zip is 21921 , its a 1 hour ride south of philly. Excellent riding and fun down here.

Let me know what you think.

WELL HELLO, WE KEEP OUR BOAT AT DUFFY CREEK. RIGHT NEAR GEORGETOWN YACHT BASIN. I WASNT SURE WHAT EVERYONE WOULD THINK OF THAT PLACE. HECK YEAH I'M GAME FOR THAT. IF NEED BE I COULD HAVE A COUPLE PEOPLE STAY AT MY PLACE. I HAVE KIDS EVERY OTHER WEEKEND. GOT A FIVE BEDROOM HOUSE AND MOST OF THE TIME ITS JUST ME. IT'S MAYBE AN HOUR AWAY FROM ME. NOW THATS WHERE U WILL SEE SOME BIG MONEY BOATS. A FRIEND OF MINE JUST BOUGHT A 50-51 FOOT TROJAN. OH I'M EXCITED NOW.

Everyone who is in, or thinks they may be available send me an e-mail and i will begin to compile a list. if we get enough people, we could probably hook up some recreation at a few of the local watering holes. definately have to get a load of blue claws!!

feel free to shoot me some ideas along with the e-mail.

btw, there are plenty of nice little back coves for grudge matches....!

I would be down, but I'm away from Labor Day Weekend until the 12th. Could we do it later than that?

Hey Will, what happened Sunday? I'm still here in Ocean City...but it's pouring now. Mad
