Question:
In light of both Katrina and Rita slamming the Gulf Coast should there be a Mudbug event this October?

I know some of the New Orleans and Mississippi people can't make it due to damages they suffered.

Im not sure about the East Texas gang.

I need your thoughts on this!

Choices:
Have the event as scheduled even though turn out may be small
Just wait and have a June 06 event

 

I'm either way at this point. I'll go if its happening, it's a lot of fun and I don't want to miss it. But realistically, it would probably be better for me personally to do it later. I just got finished getting all the little fishies out of my motor

Yeah I think we need to take up a new roll call anyways cause there are still a lot of people out there that said they were going on other posts yet they have not confirmed on the roster tread yet.

Guys, I just got off the phone with the Hotel in Morgan City. They told me they have cancelled every reservation to year end due to the hurricanes. I think that pretty much raps that up???

If mud bug is not going to happen how about some of the people go to the FLA rally in jaxsonville fla. Florida people dont miss this

DO WHAT???? I can't believe they would do that without calling all those that booked the room.

its true, i just called and the governor of LA has ordered that no hotel can take any reservations due to evacuees (this is what the lady has told me, and wasn't very nice about it).

I also called the Holiday Inn there----NO GO.

Called the Days Inn in Morgan City---NO GO either.

Can we just make this a camping trip maybe??

this is true....there is a lot of water between North Carolina and Louisiana!!! I would still love to do something even if its more inland but we have to get on it fast!!!

Our big boss just tried to get a hotel last night in Jackson. Nothing was open.
So, I think we would have the same problem with no hotels. I'm going to the FL ralley series Oct 7 8 and 9th. We also have the Destin Fl. trip setup for Nov. 3 4 5 and 6th. There is going to be plenty of people going to both events. We need to hook up this weekend.
