Anyone plan on buying an 06 or have bought one already? Model? Performance?

Anyone notice the companies are slimming down the amount of different models available.

Why would anybody buy an '06? According to your other post, the 05's can't even hit 70 with $3,000 in mods. Right?

Funny.....

I remember when I first got my 05 GPR way way way back in january and was telling people that I was doing about 68mph and everyone said that it was hard to believe, now everyone claims they are doing 70mph and how easy it is with just a couple mods in a couple hundred bucks.

They found it hard to beleive with just a 5hp increase and elimination of the powervalves that the 05 could get anywhere near that. Now its hitting that # so easily stock? I remember people telling me how much they had to do to get it going that fast and now........

Funny.......

How stories change.

First, the '05 CAN'T hit 68 stock! It's about 65 and change. You got one big chip on your shoulder don't you...

Second,
quote:
just a couple mods in a couple hundred bucks.

more then that, and around $1000. I can back up my numbers 100%, it's not how much you can spend on your boat. It's all in HOW you spend it!

It's not "Funny...", it's fact!

Sounds like an impeller, a plate and a grate, maybe a power filter a D-plate and an efi controller, not to mention PPK.

Probably left the engine alone.

I had to do a little more on my 1200 to get to 72

Spud,

Here's the list:
-d-plate
-efi
-ppk
-ff
-Race air intake (NOT power filter!)
-14/20
no plate yet, but when I do there's another 2mph. Over all I have a GREAT running ski.

My stock 05 ran 67.7 mph 3/4 fuel with me sitting normal ...bone stock. There are good hulls and bad hulls. There are good engines...and crappy. If you had got a good one...then you would have been braggin ...simple as that. I have a stage 2 and it runs 72.5-73mph all day long.

Regards,
Mike

I'm not saying anything about the stage II!

I think it interesting how much you get and how much they charge for that speed...

I'v just hit about $1500, my own kit, and when I'm done installing the reeds that will be here Friday, I should be around 73-73.5. That's before repitching my DF14/20??? 75ish anyone, and I still haven't spent the $1900 or so on a stage II. I think RIVA shouls revamp the Stage II! RC PM me I got some good ideas for ya!

And by the time spring gets here, I'm gona be right at, 77-78ish, if all goes right...
