Well Dangerous Dave I am back riding, working and walking, we sold the M3 and our weekend toy is now am F360 Modena, love it besides 4 alternators in 600 miles, and no, definitely NOT worth it compared to an M3 or an M5.
But so cool... Big Grin

No, hahahaha! Razz BUT it does have two sets of intake runners per cylinder. The secondaries open up at 4000 rpms. Not as slick as BMW's latest continuously variable intake but then again Yamaha had a dual intake runner system before most other manufacturers. Redline is a bit over 7000 rpms. These engines can run at redline all day long and they keep on going. I've got "only" 184,000 miles on mine. There's a guy in texas who has been towing his 3000 lb boat since he bought his SHO new in 1991. He makes sure to hit the rev limiter at least once a day. Razz And he's up to 290,000 miles on the original motor. I'd like to see the M3 motor match that! Razz Actually, there's no way the M3 motor can match that kind of durability because it's output is just too darn high!

What I like about it is I didn't have to buy an SUV, just a class II trailer hitch for $113. And I get 22mpg towing. When I'm not towing I still get 22 mpg because I'm driving faster. Razz

Now that I've impressed you with the merits of my car, wanna trade? Big Grin

It was worth a shot. Razz Big Grin

BMW M3 is truly one of the finest rides on the road. Definately one of the best, if not the best, example of an automobile with a useable backseat and trunk that caters to the true sports car enthusiast.

Personally my dream car is the Boxster S. Not the best value for the money. The M3 definately has it beat there. As does the Corvette. Lol, two totally different cars. Kind of like saying a Husky looks like a wolf and a German Shepherd Dog looks like a wolf but a German Shepherd Dog most definately does NOT look like a Husky. Ah hell, I'm drunk on cheap red wine (South Beach Diet allowed!!! Big Grin) Here's another pic of my SHO's motor at 150,000 miles and an hour of cleaning with pennzoil steam premium in a can and the good 'ol garden hose.

First, if I could have a Gallardo, I'd have one over the 360 any day.
Another league.

I am now lurking around the new M5, or eventually the new M6 (might look better, GOD Chris Bangle is on crack)....

Yes I have the STXR and love it, switched to total loss during the winter and it takes a nice 73 on race gas while sticking to the water.

You should have kept yours?
I don't know, if the new 15R is what I have heard, it will blow everything away while having a warranty...
I might regret spending 30ks in a boat I'll sell for 14/15000 tops... Frown

I'm sure your STXR is worth every penny... except you are probably going to do better stripping it down, and parting it out, saving the "goodies" for the 15F (if they fit), and getting 4k for a near stock stxr. I hate that feeling. Mad

You have to have a cage when you're only running 13s! Confused Harsh rules at that track.

No kidding - I guess all the Vettes, Stangs, Vipers, Lightings, etc. have to have a cage in a completely stock car! Need a cage for 11's here at Houston Raceway Park.
