WOT, from bouy to bouy, Closed course is not a WOT race unless your running an oval or something of the sort, WOT is impractical for any extent of time, you need to let off somewhat and the longest you'll be holding that throttle tight is likely to be the longest straight on any given course. Duration varies depending on the event, class and promotor's decision according to the water conditions. Anywhere from 6 to 17 laps or timed around 10 to 15 minutes + 1 lap is possible.

Back in 01 I ran a few endurance races which were either 60 minutes or 120 minutes. The 3 mile long course requiring mulitple laps was navigated at WOT the entire way, never letting up till re-fueling.

Closed course loads your motor more than endurance running when running at WOT thru the turns. Heavily loaded motors can "pop" under frequent WOT bursts just as easy as running WOT for an hour straight.

So your looking at 15 minutes of hard riding...

I was thinking of training and wanted to know the ride requirements.
