Since we have so much interest in getting together in good ole Morgan City, Louisiana I figured this topic would be worthy of it's own thread.

Some really fast ski's have shown interest in making the trek. I think it would be a great opportunity for us to all get together. Morgan City isn't paradise by any means, but there are some great riding areas with almost guaranteed flat waters to do speed testing/racing.

We just need to come up with a weekend that will work around most peoples schedule. I know the date we pick wont accomodate everyone, but lets try!

Again, i'll try to get a group rate at the Best Western. I just need to know how many people are coming.

Well, 13th will be too soon for me as my ski will probably still be in pieces. I sent my head off to Underwood today. Hope to have it back in a couple weeks.

1st or 2nd weekend in june sounds good to me we have a race in florida memorial weekend and the national jamboree in nashville is may 20,21,and 22 so that will be a big weekend we can even talk kerry into coming then

Okay, alot of the phone calls i got tonight were asking about the riding area. I dug up this map on the internet. Sorry for the quality, but it's the best i could do.
I have a very sweet spot picked out for us. Whats so attractive about this location, "Combat Zone" is it's a straigtaway about 2000' long and it has a barrier island so to speak protecting it from the wakes of passing boats in the main bayou. There is a restaurant with plenty of dockside parking for us to tie up and relax and have a good cajun meal and the boat launch is right there too.

I can not do the 1st weekend in June, thats my sons 4th b-day party. Id be all over the second weekend`of June though.

unfortunately there is no beach on the bayou.
There is plenty of room to tie up at my camp though.
