If my ski was in one piece Me and the wife would be packing right now.
15 hours from SWFL is nothing when you conceder the people I would get to see.

Would there be anything for the “ski less” to do at this event?

guy's this event is turning out very well. i notice lots of people not decided on coming because they dont have a fast ski. please dont let that hold you back. this is not a racing event. this is a chance for us to all meet, hang out and have a good time. we will all have a chance to see some really fast skis and have some fun grudge racing and cruising the bayou's.

its a pretty nice size motel with a good bit of parking. there are LOTS of bass boat events here and they have plenty of room to park.

Once more people start booking rooms i will go back and talk to the hotel manager and get THEM to foot the bill for security.

Listen to what Jerry said a few posts ago, It does not matter how fast your ski is, no one is going to be making fun of people or riding circles around them chanting like a 4th grader. Everyone should come and get to meet the faces behind the Riva names, and on top of that, there will be a lot to be learned from all of this.

I by no means have the kind of knowledge that some of these other guys have and i would love to get the chance to learn some new things. Kerry Hibdon will be there (not only a smart guy, but one of the nicest you will ever meet). Looking Forward to Meeting Fernando, Mike Thorne, Kurt, Rob, Paul, Pete, and all the other crazy dudes too.

The only security issue to be worried about at this thing will be the beating and drowning of a young man from St. Louis also known as "Liqiud Di" who has had a terrible time refraining from talking sh** and threatening Pistonwash. Well he better bring a big stick to the event.

But for the rest of you- COME ON !! You will have the chance to see some really great work done to these skis and maybe even get to blow your hair back riding one of them!!! This is really and truely the best time to make a trip from anywhere. There will be tons of friends made and tons of memories, and i will be willing to bet that this will become an every year event and it will only get bigger. In 2 years the Best Western in Morgan City will have to have expanded for us!! LOL

My grandfater's stuff is definitely a litte more potent than that! You start out by making a base that includes 6 fifths of various liquors, then you start adding the fruits and stuff and more liquor. It is VERY potent and you don't taste alcohol at all. After a couple of them, all of a sudden, BBBBBAAAAAAAAAMMM. It really is brilliant!

howestek-

Funny - I know Jamie Bergeron personally. I was born and raised in Lafayette, and went to USL. Wish I could make it, but the haul from Houston is going to take long enough.
